2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I would do that deal. Usually I say that deals are too favorable to us, but it wouldn't surprise me me if Moody is in the Ochai/Grimes camp where he is no longer worth a "real" first round pick.
I think you could also do like 29/32 for Moody and some seconds if you wanted to make it work. I think they want to be all the way under the tax next year and this would help that type of effort.

Moses Moody is younger than a few potential lottery picks this year, he isnt getting dealt for 29/32. Yall are being ridiculous.

Why doesn't he play more? I think he is better than what they could do at 29/32... maybe we have to take GP2 or something to help them cap wise... its just weird he doesn't play all that much.

He was 8th in MPG on the team....
There was times during the year he was losing some PT to some scrubby players. I think he should be getting 20+ minutes a night. He may want to go somewhere he can get that (depends on what happens with Klay, Wiggins). He is extension eligible... IDK I think they might be okay recycling him for a different prospect that helps the budget.

His minutes were remarkably consistent all year besides January, when he had an injury that held him out and limited his minutes upon return heading into February...

I doubt they want to "recycle" a prospect they have spent a lot of time developing and had somewhat of a breakout year last year.

If he was on a fresh 4 year rookie deal it would be ridiculous, but he’s not.
It's ridiculous. He was a good rotation player last year. He upped his BPM from -2.6 to a flat 0. If they want to deal him, they can do far far better.

I mean I watched some games where dudes like Quinones were getting same or close to the same as many minutes. Maybe there was injury stuff going on... Just think they should be playing him more when Klay and Wiggins were struggling. If those guys are back are the minutes going up?

Its also about budget and the tax. If they have to give up assets to move other salary would they rather do that? Maybe.

Not saying its a for sure deal they would consider... but I don't think its ridiculous. I mean we gave away a 3 and D wing that was producing for half that.

With Klay on his way to ORL, they prob want to keep him anyways.
GS pays him is my guess, but yes... they would 100% want a read on that before doing anything.

It's ridiculous. It's not going to happen.

Would y’all do a Collins for Wiggins swap? If not what else would they need to attach?

My first thoughts was "why?" as this doesn't help either team get out of either contract.

But upon further consideration (~1 minute) I think it makes sense. Both players clearly fit better on the other team.
