Whats ur reasoning for Edey #1?

With the partial tear Topic should be available le for the Jazz. It will be interesting if he is there because he may not play very much his first year as a team would probably want to make sure he is 100% health. If the Jazz passed on him then that might be signaling Ainge wants to win.

I am still a huge FAN and hope he makes the Jazz pick. He would make a great backcourt partner to George.

There is a good chance that Jazz can just sit on their hands and take Topic at 10. But I think the Spurs may take him at 8. If the Jazz 100% want him they should look to trade 10 for 7 (10 + 29 + future 2nd + cash for 7 and 45?).

If they want a second pick in the top ten they can probably do some maneuvering and give up a future pick. If they really value a guy and could accelerate the timeline then why not?

I think Castle or Reed in addition to Topic would be fantastic. But we would probably have to spend too much for it to happen.

Oh no, I see what you did, lol.

I can guarantee it won't go like that and I probably wouldn't draft McCain if I were the Jazz
Do you think Edey is there at 10? Do the Jazz pick him? Ainge sounded high on him, could be blowing smoke like he did with Fultz.

Personally when I think of relatively low ceiling guys at 10 like Knecht, who I like or Carter or Williams I can’t help but think of the matchup nightmare Edey could potentially be if things go right. Obviously there’s risk but these other options seem like a dime a dozen

I doubt it, the Jazz never pick who I have ranked as the BPA.

If Jazz take Edey what happens with Kessler and Lofton?
Do they keep all three?
Keep Kessler unless you get a good offer and have them fight it out. Lofton doesn't really fit in unless he makes himself fit in

From what I’m reading, partially torn ACL is the same recovery as fully torn ACL…you need to have full reconstructive surgery. Others who have had a partially torn ACL are Kawhi, Dinwiddie, and Thomas Bryant. All got full reconstructive surgery because it is required. Topic will miss his first season in the NBA.

I think SA may still take him at 8. They have two top ten picks and a decent amount of young players... but I think there is a good shot he lasts until 10 and we should be totally willing to take him.

I think SAS would be unphased by the injury news….I also think there was a chance Topic fell even before the injury news. There are a lot of teams in the top 10 where they theoretically have their solution at PG. If the Spurs take Shep, Castle, or Dilly at 4 I don’t think anyone else takes Topic and that may have been the case before injury announcement.

As for the Jazz….it wouldn’t bother me. I still might like one of the wing options, but if he was their guy before the news I think he’d still be the guy now.

I think the Spurs would offer both their top-10 picks, plus a future pick, for Lauri. Not saying the Jazz would do it, but I think that discussion is inevitable. Lauri is largely seen as the perfect complement to another primary big.

Lakers are also interested in Lauri allegedly.
