2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I just don’t really think so. I think you’re off on Dillingham too. Time will tell we are only a week away.
Maybe, the latest intel on Dillingham is that he is only working out for Detroit and San Antonio, but Utah expressed interest in having him in.

If Utah takes him, it will probably be against Rich Paul's desires.

10, 29, 32
I think we’re more likely to trade up to secure someone like Williams (can’t believe I’m saying this Ferg) than taking Carter or Walter at 10.
I think it is Williams or Castle. Ainge was on a podcast where he was asked what type of player does he love. It seemed like he was talking about Castle.

Any team playing us would feast on a Dillingham & Keyonte backcourt.
Yeah, not a fan.

Also, and I dont think anyone cares too much about this, but Dillingham was not a good shooter in OTE. His shooting splits were 34/32 over the course of the year at OTE.

Obviously he is a very talented shooter, but is he prone to running extremely hot/cold because of his shot selection and size?

Is there any concern that Sarr/Dillingham were both very mediocre OTE players compared to the Thompson twins and what that means for their future?

I feel like the answer is probably a no just because of how little we know about OTE and what/who translates out of it, but it is interesting.

Rich Paul has a very good relationship with the Jazz. I don’t think he’s worried about that at all. If anything he’d probably just want to know what the plan is guard wise going forward.

What was his age compared to the twins?

If he wanted Dillingham in Utah, he would workout for Utah, not a report that Utah was interested and didnt get a workout.

That’s not the way I took the report. He has workouts scheduled in Detroit and San Antonio and Utah expressed interest in getting a workout. There are still 7 days until the draft and he was injured.

So Utah has expressed interest and they havent bothered to schedule it because they are too busy? Sounds like Utah got denied.

There's so much uncertainty with picks 6 - 9 potentially being on the market, that I find it unlikely the Jazz will passively sit at #10, unless they're satisfied with Holland, Edey, Topic or someone like Walter. They can't even be assured that Knecht or Carter will be there at 10. In other words, I think they'll try to move up for *someone*. I think the Jazz will be willing to move their picks in this draft and one of several players to get someone they love. They just need to feel strongly enough about that player.

I for one would be absolutely ecstatic to get Holland at #10.

I think we're overthinking him a bit.

He has all the attributes to become Anthony Edwards lite to me. (I don't think Edwards was known to have a good 3 pointer neither did he?)

If he's there at #10 I'm grabbing him with both arms.

Dillingham, no. He was super productive at the NCAA level and that's more relevant.

Sarr...yeah it's a little sus. He played well in AUS but also few minutes.

DX and Bleacher Report both have Shannon around 25ish. Will be interesting to see if that sticks. I think he would be a great get at #22 if we trade up with the Suns.

Knicks have put 24 and 25 on the market. They've also been linked to Clarkson in the past. Just putting that out there.

With Sarr, you're mostly drafting him as a versatile defensive presence, I think. The offensive development is a big question mark.
