2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

It’s hard to overstate just how bad the GLeague Ignite were last season. They were 6-44. That’s a 12% win rate which is less than 10 wins over an 82 games season. Their net rating was -14.5. Second worse was -6. They were more than double as bad as the second worst team in the league. Incredible how overmatched they were.
They folded the team… that’s how bad they were.

They had no point guard and Holland and Buzelis had to create their own shots.

BTW, a lot of people say Holland was "efficient" and cite his TS. Just remember that TS% is bunk and inflated for all G-League stats. Do not use it. I don't think we should look too much into the G-League stats anyways because they were completely over matched. But just for fun, here are some G-League players last season:

TS% is the best stat we have to measure scoring efficiency. and it isn't just the best, it is excellent.

The calculation is wrong for the G-League. They have different FT rules and it messes with the formula. Nothing wrong with TS% itself, the problem is that it is wrong for the G-League.

kay yes, that makes sense. still, careful using per 36 for guys who didn't play at least a somewhat similar number of minutes - no idea if that is the case here or not.

not sure what you're trying to prove, but laughable that you are using per 36 (which can be completely skewed if guy's minutes were low) and you are using eFG% - a stat that ignores a player's ability to get to the FT line and make FTs.

I am using eFG% because TS% is calculated incorrectly. I added FTA's and FT% so you can also add that to your efficiency calculation. Obviously the guy who shoots more FT's is going to have a higher overall efficiency gain from that. These players all played big minutes: 31.9, 35.4, 32.0. Not sure why you're so aggressive in trying to prove why I'm misleading.

fair enough - who are the players?
