2024 NBA Draft Reaction Thread

All three of Jazz picks this year seem like they will make the team
Jazz are stockpiling very good players
Gonna be the best summer league of all time.
Imagine a summer league team of Hendricks, Brice, keyonte, Williams, Collier, and Kessler (I highly doubt Kessler plays and don't think keyonte will play). That would be amazing

Sorry mate, the answer is no.

You will get to shag Margot Robbie though. Hope that's ok

Very disappointed in this board. I come here for information as I don’t follow the college game… and yet, here we are with two picks and not a single person has weighed in on if either player has good hand pads or not. Focus people.
Maybe not but you can bet all the Piston rookies picked will have excellent hand pads     :)

NGL I was expecting way more trade activity… not by us necessarily but as a league. Thought there’d be like twice as many trades. It normally does end up being less than anticipated but was kind of weird.

Detroit and SA were the teams I didn’t get. Minny picked a weird guy to add to a contender but I liked the value/thought process.

They have amazing balance tho
Edit: sojodave just barely beat me to it.

I had put together a couple of reasons why I thought we might not see many trades. It wasn't necessarily a prediction, more just thinking out loud, but it ended up coming true. I think this was a difficult draft to evaluate value, and so I'm guessing teams had a hard time coming to terms because of that.

The second disappointment, arguably a bigger one but also, somehow, relevant to the first one, is the lack of milf reportage.

I kinda see why Minny did it. They desperately needed more offense especially for non-Ant minutes, and their guards outside of Ant were pretty limited in that side of the ball.

NAW was their best guard off the bench and only one who got consistent burn in the postseason... so inserting an offensive sparkplug who doesnt burden your cap much makes sense. If either Shannon or Dilly develops into playable sub this year, they probably have use for at least one of them.

I bet the NBA scraps the 2 day draft idea next year.

It’s just pointless.

I know they try to copy the NFL in everything they do but this is just senseless.
From a logistical standpoint with teams, the extra day might be useful for teams to assess the environment and make further deals to fill out their roster. Given the new CBA does crimp some trades quite a bit, it makes sense to me from that standpoint alone.

Plus, Minny play good enough team D that they can hide Dillingham's defense.
