Do you like this draft better than last year's Jazz draft?

I definitely like this one more than I liked last year's draft when it happened.

So, what's preventing Utah or any other team from drafting Bronny and then holding the Lakers hostage for his draft rights?

I floated the idea in one of the mock draft threads, and one critique was that it might piss off agents.

Agreed, but I don't think there's much to gain for him beyond injury in playing him extended minutes against summer league fodder. But I also don't mind him playing a game or two to warm up for training camp.

Great talent acquisitions AND the Jazz will lose games playing rookies - good tank move too.

as a starter and 30 mpg guy in the NBA, a few summer league games aren't going to change who he is. he played last year, built up confidence by playing well and there is no reason play him this year.

Also could just be his family didnt approve of him dating an older woman as a 18 year old and Flip pushed them away for not understanding. I put that more on the family than Flip. Yeah, it's a weird situation, but he's an adult.

Of course a double standard exist for men/women. Filipowski is a grown man who is going to make millions. He has the power to leave if he wants.

He didn't say how much or how long. I don't really see a point in playing George many minutes or games in exhibition games beyond him knocking off any rust.

It's an opportunity for him to build chemistry with our young roster and play against his peers his own age. It's a no brainer. No idea why we are acting like he isnt playing. Donovan Mitchell played in SL after his ROTY worthy season.
