2024 NBA Free Agency Thread

Between Deni, DJM, and Naji being taken off the board I am really running low on guys I like for us.

Meh, I'd just rather roll with the rookies. I feel like they could get us that 7 points a game Naji provides.
LOL.. Naji is still young improving and a position that we really need. If we are trying to be good he should have been top of the list. Good defender too. I'm team tank so I'm great. He would have been a fantastic get and would have had trade value.

Actually pretty helpful for the Suns but what's the rule @infection
After consulting the rule book, it appears the rules are unclear. Rules specifically stipulate the effect of Plumlee/Zeller doctrine in regards to trades but says sparsely little regarding signings. This is unprecedented and may require formal addenda.

Naji is better than DJJ or I think he can be... I also want to lament the Mavs getting him.

I think its a win because they can now trade a Plumlee since they have one... giving them a chance to win the trade.

He's going to be 27 next season. He's almost as old as Dalton Knecht. I want the Jazz to play Hendricks and Sensabaugh until they can't stand up.

However, as a trade has two parts, it allows you to have winners and losers. With a signing there’s only the opportunity to be a winner or a loser (or break even), and there’s not an inverse side. But with DL he did imply a two-sided scenario by talking about winning the press conference. Perhaps this secondary vantage point is where a Plumlee/Zeller signing lands: win the press conference but lose the signing.
