What's new

4 of the ten, Worst 4 lineups in the NBA.

Wow, that is incredible that our coaching staff and front office just let this go on for so long...I promise if we stand pat over this all-star break we won't be so lucky winning some of these close games. This really bugs me to no end, I really hope some of these stats they are basing this off of are more flawed or else we are in for a big hurt and I will for one not have to even pay attention to every Jazz game for the rest of the season, I am already to the point if a game starts at 7 I won't tune in until 8:30 or half through the 3rd because at least then I can see the young guys perform after they have warmed up after their few minutes they get in the first half.

I think these statistics are slanted due to our consistently-awful 1st quarters. Our bench often brings us back, and then the starters usually do a solid job.

Props to Corbin for leading us to 30 wins by the All-Star break. Figured we would be doing better, but I did not anticipate injuries to Mo and Hayward (our two weakest positions).

I think these statistics show how awful our starters are. Especially when you actually watch the awful 1st and 3rd quarters. Our bench often bails us out and brings us back, and then the starters usually screw it up. Corbin is a dumbass for not seeing the obvious. This has been going on for most of the past 2 years.

Fixed.

I wonder what happens if you take that Houston abortion out of the game log?

But, yeah, our starters have been bad. Shocking?

In other news, if we want to look at another offseason deal that may be haunting a team, look no further than Marvin Williams going to the Jazz. Danny Ferry had a savvy offseason clearing the salary books for the Atlanta Hawks, and it sure looks like Utah would like a mulligan on that move.
well said. i knew utah made a mistake with that trade.

I have this really unique way to judge how effective teams are. It is called wins and losses. I know that is bizarre but it works for me. 30 wins at the all star break for this team in not bad. I think we probably should be at 32 wins but stuff happens.

That's the craziest stat I ever heard of. I'm interested, though. Is there anywhere convenient to find these win and loss numbers, or do I just have to rely on you to be telling the truth about them?

Cool story bra

So what's our record against teams with a .500 record or better? I believe that may the a better indicator on how good this team is.

It's a good thing first quarters don't count as much as the last 5 minutes of games.

The starters were doing just as poorly with Mo.

Being an alt is bad enough, dal. You don't have to be a troll as well.

If we are consistently awful in the 1st quarter shouldn't it be the coaches job to get players in there to fix that? Or to find a way to get the team to play better at the start? You've been consistent with your Corbin love. But the starts and the failure in the 1st quarter is all on the coaching staff. Our starters suck together and our coach is too ****ing stupid to do something about it.

Dal?

Regardless, I think it is incredibly unfair of anyone to look at our PG rotation (Earl, Tinsley, Burks) and not think it is one of if not the worst in the league.

The fact that Ty has skirted this, brought Burks along, and keeps posting Ws to me is impressive.

I've skirted nothing.

What does this have to do with the Jazz's completely ineffective starting lineup?
