What's new

What is Bogut doing in a Warrior uniform? He looks like the roundest peg trying to fit into the squarest hole on that squad. He makes a billion dollars a month, so they have no choice but to play him - but my guess is he doesn't help their chemistry down the stretch.

He just isn't very good anymore due to injuries. And his prime years were likely inflated a little playing when the east was just woeful.

Yeah, it doesn't help that he moves like molasses. Jefferson was having his way with him. I laughed when a few posters on here said Bogut would still be a top 10 center coming off the injury. He needs at least the rest of this season and the off-season to get back to form, and that is only if he avoids injuries.

Yep, the W's are definitely worse off with him playing right now. They were doing great before he returned. But they've been down that "small ball" road before. Warriors know Lee at the 5 ain't going to work come playoff time. W's aren't worried about this season: just making the playoffs for them will be a HUGE success. If Bogut can recover fully be next season, W's could contend for a 4th seed.

Alec Burks, PG 25 min, 5-8 shooting, 2-3 from 3pt, 1-2 from free throw, 0 offensive rebound, 5 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 1 turnover +3, 13pts
Gordon Hayward, SG 25 min, 5-9 shooting 2-5 from 3pt, 5-6 from free throw, 0 offensive reboud, 3defensive rebounds, 4 assits, 0 steals, 2 blocks, 1 tournover, +1, 17 pts

Very similar solid comparisons between our 2 amazing wings.... i hope to see more of this in the future!

Anyone else get the sense that Hayward & BigAl do not get along ?

There was one play Hayward made a great assist to Al for a dunk and Al would not give him the obligatory 5 or finger point.

Plus, after the game, Al in interview said it was greate to have G-time back -- Translation: I will like Hayward if I get to stay....

Too funny

I don't think it's as much about Bogut not being that good as just being a crappy fit. You combine that with his mediocre play and it looks really bad. Even prime Bogut would have been underwhelming on this team.

Loved seeing Favors, Burks and Hayward all get over 20 minutes. Burks and Hayward with 30 points, 8 rebs, 6 last, 3 blocks and a steal in 50 minutes.

Now if they can just he get Kanter into it...

Loved seeing Hayward AND Burks getting minutes as well. They both need more.

I am actually **not** looking forward to Mo's return.

Mo's return would maybe affect 6 of those minutes (total amount of time Watson or Tinsley weren't on the floor). Burks can still get PT once Mo comes back.

I honestly believe Corbin will be forced to play Burks. His defense has been outstanding lately. I'm amazed at his lateral quickness for a guy his size. The strip against Jack was a really really great play.

Too funny

I didn't read anything into it other than a compliment. I've been impressed with Al's performance this month while having to deal with trade talks. About 20/9/2 shooting 52%

Remember what happened to our awesome rotation when Josh Howard came back last year? Corbin won't be forced to play Burks, when Mo comes back he'll return to the exact same sub-pattern from before the injuries started piling up. DeMarre Carroll and Alec Burks will be forced to ride the bench during the final weeks and playoffs so Marvin Williams, Randy Foye, and Mo/Watson/Tinsley can all get their minutes.

Like I said in my last post, Burks only played 6 minutes at PG tonight.

This was an excellent win. The ball movement was amazing today. The only time the offense staggered was when Watson or Tinsley were trying to do PnRs but Steph would just go under.

fixed

Big Al was money on three consecutive plays that put the game out of reach....

3:39 Draymond Green shooting foul (Al Jefferson draws the foul) 94-106

3:39 94-106 Al Jefferson makes free throw 1 of 2

3:05 94-108 Al Jefferson makes 8-foot jumper

2:47 94-108 Al Jefferson defensive rebound

2:28 94-111 Alec Burks makes 25-foot three point jumper (Gordon Hayward assists...off a kick-out pass from Al who was double-teamed in the post)

I get that you don't like Al, but sometimes you really over-do it.
