They've had Derek Fisher, so maybe there's a reason everything has run through Kobe. And Bryant has been a little beat up the last several seasons. He's not going to mind sharing the load. Outside of going to Miami, Nash's best chance at a championship is with the Lakers...and they were able to pay him almost as much as he would have received in Toronto.
