She's beautiful. And seems to have a fair amount of hair. That's nice.
LolololYour baby is absolutely adorable, and maybe it's wrong of me to call attention to this, but I'm sort of surprised that you allow her to sleep on Donald Trump's toupee.
Pretty good. I was really worried about my wife. For the first 2 weeks I was doing pretty much everything and my wife was depressed and scared. I was changing every diaper, I was the only one feeding her, my wife would barely even hold her..... But then my wife started feeling better and now she is doing great! I'm so glad I took 3 weeks off work, it made a huge difference. She's adorable!
How are you and the wife adjusting?![]()

She is a great baby. Not too fussy. Nighttime is the hardest. Getting up in the middle of the night to feed her, burp her, change her diaper, heat up the bottle, wash the bottle, and then try to get her back to sleep (sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's really hard to get her back to sleep) sucks.
I think you meant "postpartum". My wife had never gone through that, thankfully. It's kind of a miracle considering how she can be when she's not with a newborn. That postmenopausal depression stuff is no joke, so I hear. Glad your wife is doing better.

Funny thing I've noticed about moms and dads.
Moms cry over baby leaving their current "stage" while dads cheer the next one.
There's no right or wrong there, just something I've noticed.
My favorite "new" stages;
1) can hold their own bottle - makes nighttime and car rides WAAAAY esier.
2) this one is for my boys, not my little princess - truly understanding the words "you stop or I will beat that ***"
Btw - diapers don't remotely make the list. I'd rather change a diaper than escort my kids into a Chevron restroom.
The fact that you would take your kids into a Chevron restroom probably means I should call social services.
So that's where my mind and body are these days apparently. Postmenopausal depression is no joke either. But yes, I meant postpartum.I think you meant "postpartum". My wife had never gone through that, thankfully. It's kind of a miracle considering how she can be when she's not with a newborn.

I honestly don't mind changing diapers at all. In fact, I kind of enjoy it. (Other than the blowouts when the poop goes out of the diaper and up her back. Those suck)Funny thing I've noticed about moms and dads.

Though people have told me that it gets way worse when they start getting stinky and much bigger.
So far I don't mind it all though and i have been changing like 8 diapers per day.
It's when they start discussing politics or sports with you while you change that tends to piss you off a bit.I honestly don't mind changing diapers at all. In fact, I kind of enjoy it. (Other than the blowouts when the poop goes out of the diaper and up her back. Those suck)

They get way worse.
That said, I've changed a lot of diapers and never had a blowout. #putemonright

More wet and less poops? (I hope)true, but the ratio of wet to dirty gets much bigger
The wife has three months off but I'm hoping she just quits her job altogether. It will be really hard for us financially on only my salary but I think we can do it. I will work as much overtime as possible and even get a second job if I need to. I would like her to stay home and raise our little one but she has been talking about going back to work so we will see what happens.I'm glad you were able to take off three weeks, fish. I'm hoping the wife has some time off too.
It's crazy how some families have such little time off to take care of their babies after they're born
