A player who might actually help us

Not sure I follow. How and where would Boris Diaw help the Utah Jazz as currently constituted?

Don't think we need another big. I like the improvement we are seeing in Kanter and Favors!!

And there's absolutely no truth to the rumor that after he cleaned out his locker and headed out the door, Coach Silas called out, "Hey Boris, see you next Tuesday."

Hopefully we can pick up Diaw and he can eat up some of Favors' minutes, maybe some of Kanters' as well, and push Evans to the inactive list.

I dont get it. (they dont play anybody next tuesday.....)

Good god what is it today with people wanting to add pieces we don't need to take more minutes away from the young guys? 1st Nocioni and then Diaw?

For the record, I said Nocioni so he could simply ride the pine. He's not getting a ton of time in Philly anyway and I thought a Bell/Miles trade for him would have been nice for us and them in some ways. Though Bell and Miles would probably implode riding the pine there.

Paul Silas was the coach of Cleveland when Boozer convinced Gund to make him a FA, presumably so he could re-sign with Cleveland at a significant raise over the last year of his rookie deal, but at a "home town" discount. And then we know what happened.

I can't paste the link to the story because it has the actual word in the line (and it's not allowed in this forum). But here's the quote from the reporter:

"A reporter asked Silas about Boozer returning to Cleveland for the first time since bolting for Utah, and Silas said, “See You Next Tuesday.” The reporter had no idea what he meant… and I wouldn’t have, either. So he asked for further explanation. Silas spelled it out for him. “C. U. Next. Tuesday.”"

If ya'll ignore the injuries, yer right; don't need him. But, with Bell and Howard so iffy game to game, Diaw might help us at SF, where we got Hayward and Miles and the rarely used Carroll. Evans has to date only been used at PF. Same with Millsap. With Bell and Howard out, we'd need CJ, Burks, and Hayward to man the SF and SG positions every game. 96 / 3 = 32 minutes each, and they'd better stay healthy, as Carroll is very green and ain't gonna play much... Of course we could do the double PG thing...
