What i have seen recently in this board was that there is a significant number of people having doubts in Kanter's ability just because he kinda sucked recently. And as a Kanter homer, i have to back up my guy. Here is a very good analysis to show how rebounding rate of Kanter increases as he gets more mins to play. So the question is,

did Enes suck recently because he was frustrated not getting enough time?
because he doesn't have the potential that many people including me claim to have?
because he didn't get encouraged by the coach to make any field goal attempts at all?
or he is a guy who doesn't shine in limited mins but he can only show his potential as he gets higher amount of playing time ? (on other words he gets better as he plays more)

I think the last one, what you guys think?

totally the last one. he was like that in the pre-nba games like nike hoop summit and eurobasket lithuania. he rapidly starts to own the game after a while if you keep passing him on the post-up and pick and pop. kanter really really is a good player for his size and strength. he will eventually find a way to use those together systematically.

He sucks because he is a 19 year old, raw rookie who has hit the rookie wall.

I love to hate statisticians that think they have their fingers on the pulse of God. Kool, braugh...

I've already seen enough from Kanter this year. Anybody who doubts he is a real player and doesn't recognize that he is way ahead of schedule (relative to his position and his personal history), well... they are dopes.

Enes needs 20min/game next year. At least. Which means Al's got to go.

suck?

He is just a very young kid playing a position that takes the most time to develop.
He's shown me something this year to get me excited about the future. He's willingness to bang, and attack.
His passing out of double teams, and the post will come with time. He's had some wonderful moments this year.
Of course he's going to have down time. This is his rookie season with zero college basketball game experience.

Kanter is going to be a good player. Will he be a star?
Favors has 2 years (one college, one NBA) under his belt, and he is still up and down.

We have to give our big men time. For heaven sakes we've given CJ a lifetime here....our bigs deserve at least what Miles got.

I just read that article and while I agree that Enes is good and everything he is mistaken in his analysis. The reason why during the moments he plays longer he rebounds more is because Ty pulls him out early if he isn't. Like if he has a lot of rebounds per minute he stays in the game longer.

Basically he thinks A --> B

But really B --> A
