What's new

A very scary thought...

Hayward turned into a man during the offseason.

Your point? Thats always when players see big transformations. Its because they can't train hard during the season.
Each player receives detailed offseason workout and diet plans. The training staff keeps in constant contact with the players throughout the offseason. Some are sent to p3, some not.

When Malone worked with Gobert, Kanter and Favors a couple of years ago I didn't see any noticeable jump in skill. In fact you could probably argue that Kanter regressed. Gobert already has fire and determination, get him someone with a proven track record and his offense will come along just fine.

Great players are rarely great teachers. In fact most of them are below average - there are literally hundreds of examples.

Two words. Hakeem Olajuwon. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. . . send him and Favors to work with "The Dream" this offseason. He focuses on technique and fundamentals. One of the best tools for bigs in the game. And I guarantee that he'd get more out of the experience than any other player he's worked with. Rudy wants to be great. . . give him every resource to facilitate that.

Malone already did work with Favors, Kanter and Gobert.

.... and this is what he had to say.

Gobert has a similiar attitude Malone, I say do it!!!
Agree...Ostertag was a *****, Favors is on the shy/reserved side, and Kanter was too busy checking out the Mailman's daughter, but Rudy has the same nastiness/fire that Malone had.

Its already been talked about that Rudys physical transformation was due to the plan that Mark, the Jazz straight and conditioning coach, put together. Mark puts together the plans for all the Jazz players, including Hayward and Rudy.

So if the Jazz were to have a gay player, Mark wouldn't work with him? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Agree, though, that the plan worked for Gordon. Hayward transformed his body, got married, and knocked up his newlywed wife. Whatever Mark is giving those guys, he should market...could put a real dent in Pfizer's profits.

Considering the growth of our current roster, you have to give props to the training staff. Gobert is in good hands.
