Do you see any draft night trades happening??

Chad Ford (1:16 PM)

I think there will be a bunch. Teams are telling me that trade talk really started picking up on Tuesday. Cavs are looking at potential deals using the No. 4 pick and either Baron Davis or Ramon Sessions. Jazz looking for deals. Would be open to discussing Paul Milsap or Devin Harris. Wizards looking to add talent around John Wall. Pistons are being active. Rockets have been very aggressive (as they often are). Bucks have made draft day trades past 2 years and are being aggressive again.

Millsap + Harris for Jamison + Sessions + #4 pick
Move Jamison expiring contract ($15.1m) around the trade deadline, draft Kanter (#3) and Knight (#4) and the BPA (Jimmer, Brooks, Burks, etc.) at #12
Sessions could start, back up Knight, and occassionally play SG.

The only way I would trade Millsap is if he told Ty he only wants to start because I think Millsap would shine in a 6th role. If we are going to trade two starters I would try to get #2 to draft Williams and then draft Kanter at three.

I just don't see how we would get something that we want out of Harris and Millsap while receiving what the other team is willing to give up.

Doubt this will happen.

Cavs will likely pick Irving - so why clog up the PG position with Harris?

Also they already have a PF - again, why clog up the SF position with Millsap?

Millsap's contract isn't bad. Seems like he could play with Jefferson or Favors. I wouldn't trade him.

Like someone said earlier, I think the only reason to trade him would be if he refused to come off the bench.

Im just thinking out loud for a minute, rumors our the Jazz want a Proven pg. Do you think Utah might just be crazy enough to pull off a Baron Davis, Manny Harris & the 4th pick for Memo, Miles?

If Millsap is traded, he had better have said he didn't want to come off the bench AND they had better ****ing get Derrick Williams as well.

I just don't get the excitement for DWill 2.

Granted, he can have some ESPN highlight dunks. He has a good outside shot, when guarded by 4s. People have questions about Jimmer's game translating to the NBA but DWill 2 has his own question marks for being drafted that high in the draft.

I'd still hold out for a package of Peitrus, Lopez and the 13th pick for Millsap. Address there weakness on the bench and gives them a chance to land 3 solid players in the lotto; Kanter, Jimmer, Singleton anyone? or Knight, Jimmer, Singleton then trade Harris for Batum?

agreed!

I've heard that too, but I just don't understand it. What does "proven" mean though. I would think that Harris is a proven PG and I feel is slightly above average. He's not DWill, Rose, or Paul, but they're out of our league right now........not literally of course. I actually like Harris and feel he could give the Jazz some real solid contribution as long as he feeds our frontcourt. Based upon what's available, the grass is not greener on the other side.

I would not trade Paul Millsap unless we get the #1 pick back (#3 pick and Paul Millsap for the #1 pick). However, I would be interested in trading Devin Harris and the #12 pick if it meant that we could draft Jimmer before Sacramento.

May god save us. Wow.

Millsap is the man. I'd be sad to see him go and leave #25 behind for us to watch instead.

Yeah, it's not a bad package but I would probably prefer to have Milsap in a 6th man role. If the Jazz could get Biyombo instead of Singleton I'd be more inclined to do it though.

If Millsap won't be happy being the 1st guy off the bench I say trade him. The org blew up the team last year anyways...

3 mediocre players for arguably the Jazz's best player? ew.
