What's new

Adam Morrison

I knew Adam Morrison would be nothing more than a bench player when he came into the league. He is too slow on offense and defense. He is not crafty enough to score in the league. He is just a really hard worker and puts a lot of effort into the game (on offense) and that works in college but not in the NBA. You need more talent than that when playing for the majority of the NBA teams.

Adam Morrison has lost a lot of confidence. I think he has some issues he needs to deal with. He needs a life coach. Work with someone like Tony Robbins to change that.

I do think in a team oriented style of play like the Jazz he could be a serviceable back up SF. A team that would set him screens and give him open shots. Korver was too slow to create his own shot but we could get him open coming off screens. Maybe Morrison could do the same.
But I am worried he is one of those players that needs a lot of shots to get in rhythm (like Morris Almond). Those guys never stay in the league unless your an elite talent. He might be best overseas.

We already have AK & Hayward that can really only play the SF spot (Unless AK plays some PF). But either way we won't have minutes for him and he would just ride the bench. Kind of a waste in my opinion.

I'm under the impression GHay will end up a SG, not that I think Morrison is a good signing option.

Hayward is not quick enough to guard SG's. And we will find out about his strength at SF. But no way he can guard SG's in this league. He doesn't have the lateral quickness. On offense it does not matter which position he plays. Defense is what counts when you are looking at which position they will play. And he is very questionable right now with the 2 or the 3 position. He won't have as hard of a time guarding SF's. Anybody who thinks he can actually guard the 2 position is crazy. Miles is quicker laterally than Hayward and he can barely do it. Miles already has a hard time guarding those players.

The next season he cracks 38% shooting will be his first.

Not a good sign when that's listed as a strength.

On the bright side, he almost cracked 34% from three once.

Then again, anytime you can take a chance on a diabetic offensive player with a career high PER of 7.9 you have to do it.

He did average 20 ppg in the Vegas Summer League last year.

laughable. he couldnt even get minutes for the bobcats. I too knew he would be nada in the nba. To slow and he cried before the game was over in the tourny. As someone said he needs a lifecoach. Total waste of time and id much rather have larry hughes
