I am sorry but anyone who believes this is a moron. There are plenty of teams that would take Ellis without the 6th pick. He is still valuable. I personally don't like him but there are plenty of teams that like him. Don't believe it.
 
Agreed contract is terrible. But would do just about anything to get Cousins on the Jazz. I think he can be the best center in the league. Plus Turiof is a very good back up PF.
 
No way Jazz want Ellis. He's same size as Matthews and Matthews is much more complete player and will be even better next year. Ellis would just cause havoc with SG spot.
 
I honestly hate score first point guards. So i would never want him. But Ellis is young and scores a lot. There are plenty of dumb teams that would want him for an expiring contract. Even if his contract is bad. Elton Brand injuries screwed him. Ellis is still capable of playing at a high level.
His decision making sucks but what happened to last years rumor of Ellis for Thabeet and Mayo? and Warriors turned it down? now they are trying to give him away for nothing? makes no sense.

Hell yea! Sloan will get Monte in line and he can score which is something the Jazz struggle with when Deron goes off the court. Besides I think the Jazz could use Ellis in another deal down the road. Turiaf would give the Jazz more toughness.

If the Jazz could get another first they could draft Babbitt, Henry, George or Hayward.

Fill the rest of the roster with either a veteran free agent and the rest could be second rounder or D league guys.
 
Lets just say its not a lie.

D-Will and Ellis would get into a huge fight. Ellis wouldn't run the offense and would dominate the ball and Deron would get pissed. Horrible decision for us. Unless we could do a 3 team trade and we get the 6th pick and somebody else gets Ellis. But too bad its a made up story or its being misunderstood.
 
Ellis carries on the legacy of Stephon Marbury and Allen Iverson. He is the purest crap player in the NBA today. I want no part of him at all.

Memphis tried to get him with Thabeet and Mayo earlier in the year though (for some reason, and even curiously, GS didn't bite), so move from there. GS would have to throw another player in, but I like a trade that's something like Mayo/Thabeet and #6 to Utah, AK and #9 to GS, Ellis and Turiaf to Memphis.

How it's fair that Utah gets a 3rd overall pick, a 2nd overall pick, and an actual unused #6 pick, I don't know. Or care.
