Al Horford and Marc Gasol

Is there any way we could land these two to shore up our "short" handed front court? Shaq is rumored to take the Atlanta two year offer starting at 5 mil a year and in this rumor it stats that this force the Hawks to part with Josh Smith, but just maybe Smith's contract is a little more hard to move like Kirilenko in Utah, so could we offer some draft picks and maybe Millsap or trade exception to Atlanta to land Al Horford for our starting 4. With Hasheem Thabeet as Memphis's future would they be willing to part with Marc Gasol for the remaining of what we didn't use in the Hawks deal.

Imagine...starting 5...

Williams
Miles
Kirilenko
Horford
Gasol

I do know that Horford's and Gasol's contracts expire at the end of next season and maybe we go after them then, but maybe those teams (Memphis and Atlanta) would want to get something before they would leave via free agency like Denver is afraid of with Melo, so we could offer them huge contracts with Kirilenko's contract expiring.

There's no way Memphis is going to get rid of Gasol at this point - especially not after Thabeet's abysmal rookie year. Don't be ridiculous. Bring plausible suggestions to the forums or don't talk.

Well the Grizzlies are going to lose either Mayo or Gasol because they just signed Rudy Gay to a Max deal so I think there is a very good chance that the Jazz can go after him. So Jazzfans have to hope that Thabeet improves and Mayo gets the Max. The Jazz should clear as much cap space as possible even if it means not adding anyone this year. I would love Horford and Gasol as our starting frontcourt. Bring Tomic over next year and the Jazz will have the height/toughness/skill set to compete against the Lakers.

The Jazz need to do something. According to Silers latest tweet Deron is trying to be patient with the Jazz off season. Trying being the key word in my eyes.
