I'm debating as to whether or not I should make Hayward highlights .

This channel was gonna be reserved for Jeff, Miles ,Evans and Deron

Nice job there Purch. I watched the game on the same feed.

To answer your question any Jazz highlights are good highlights as far as I'm concerned.

I watched the game on the same feed.

Me too, Ben, and I don't think I've listened to a Laker feed since the days of Chick "in the refrigerator" Hearn. Gotta say they aint bad in the "homer" department, and tend to give credit, where credit is due, to the opposing team.

I have not been able to watch any of the pre-season games thus far but watching this video it does concern me that his rep of being a black hole is legit. On a number of those plays I'd almost rather he passed back out but, once he has the ball he seems determined to shoot. On nights that he's not hitting this could kill us. Worse, how do his teammates feel about him not passing back out once he has the ball? Is AJ going to be rough on team chemistry?

In the first 4 games Al was looking to pass rather then score. It's all about a balence for him.

Even when he went to the top of the key last night he always looked to pass but he hesitates on all his passes like he was afraid that they might result in a turnover.

Marcus, they don't make "highlights" out of the plays where he passes the ball back out, only those where he shoots. Locke, Sloan, and others have noted that Jefferson can be, and is, a willing and capable passer, so I don't think you need to worry at this point. If he gits to ball-hoggin, Sloan will let him know.

True I wasn't looking through passes. When I made the highlights. This isn't D-Will I don't expect any highlight passes yet

I've actually been pretty impressed with A Jeff's passing so far. I watched every TV game so far. He has had quite a few good passes hitting the cutter or dumping down to Milsap on for an easy 2. He still is a little unsure of his passes and at times holds the ball to long but I don't think he is just a "i'm gonna shoot the ball no matter what" player like your are suggesting Marcus.

On the one were he faked and went around Gasol you could see Watson telling him to take it one on one. Gasol had no help and Jefferson in that possition is a better option going one on one than any pass he could make.

6 plays, 1 jumper, 5 he's going TO the basket by himself. Don't get me wrong, Boozer was a great shooter. But going to the basket puts more pressure on defenders, draws fouls and help, and you can certainly rebound those misses a lot easier. Millsap should be able to clean up playing next to Al. I have a really good feeling about this.

He may have the best pump fake in the Nba.

Btw does anyone have a play by play of the game? Cause I don't remember when Hayward scored his points and I don't feel like watching the whole game

This. Opposing teams pick your poison. They'll have to foul or double team. LA couldn't stop him with the double team, so maybe try fouling next. As far as I'm concerned, AJ can ball hog all he wants as long as he's drawing fouls. If he gets bigs in trouble then look out for open driving lanes for D-Will. One of the biggest holes in the 2009-2010 Jazz IMO was lack of capability to consistently draw fouls. They would often get into trouble but the opponents didn't. Putting a team into the bonus make offense much easier, and tends to bench key players.

Hey do you have this game saved, Id love

to be able to actually watch it.

Man in this game alone, Jefferson was able to score on Gasol like 4 times more than Boozer ever did in his career... The one time was the and-one dunk which was nice but I would much prefer the subtle, going-strong-to-the-basket moves by Big Al. Did you guys see Gasol shaking his head after Jefferson made that jumper over him?

Thanks for the video clip. Loved seeing Al Jeff make Gasol his bitch in those plays. Sweet moves. Not just on the Jazz, but even in the whole of NBA itself its been quite sometime since we saw legit post moves like that from a big man. There are'nt that many true low post players any more, and even the few of them remaining, they dont have as good-looking a move as Al put out there. I have never seen even Dwight Howard do some of this, although he could jump high like crazy and dunk.

In the playoffs, the Lakers will probably instruct Gasol to not play Al Jeff too tightly but to give him some space and dare him to make that jumper. THey will also try to push him out further. And they wont double team him much. Hopefully big Al would be prepared for all that stuff.
