Weight last season:

Two sixty five is what I played at last year. And that didn't work out too good playing the 5 spot. I wanted to get up to 275 is my playing weight. Right now, I'm 277. That's the weight I want to play in. That's the weight the GM agreed on. I think I'm a lot better at that weight, as far as playing there in the paint. Because a lot of guys were just pushing me around last year at 265. Even if I'm at the 4 or the 5. I think 275 is where I need to be.

Muscle weight:

Yeah, yeah. Hopefully all muscle.

People keep talking how we need AJ to step up at 5 while Okur is out, but reality is, we need AJ at the 5 going forward - with or without Okur healthy. Okur HAD starting center job before Al got here. Now Al has the starting center job for years to come - not just several months until Okur recovers. And 6-10, with lean 275lb, is where we want our starting center to be.

I'd rather have Okur as our center.

ew.

Millsap > Okur. Okur has no business playing more minutes than Millsap.

Unless you're in love with a guy with a sub .400 shooting percentage in the playoffs with the Jazz...

I think Okur was part of what has been wrong with the Jazz the last few years. I don't expect him to ever be as "good" as he has been the last few years, so I think backup C is the best place for him.

. . . on another team.

(Assuming that we could put his $10 million--or even half that much--toward someone else)

me as well with AJ as the PF.

Oh, come on now. I love Okur as much as the next guy, but we all know Millsap plays a lot better as a starter than he does coming off the bench.
Okur needs to be used to bring some depth off the bench.

On a side note, I think C.J. should be starting over Raja as well.
Okur, Raja, Fes, Price, Elson, and Watson.
Some pretty good depth on the bench I think.
