What's new

Al Jefferson is so clutch!

I thought Hayward was decent.

But after seeing this year's draft class.. it just shows.. Hayward just doesn't have a lot of talent unfortunately.

I still think he can improve & get better though and still like him as a "glue guy" type player. Unfortunately I no longer count on him to be the "go-to guy".

You thought he was going to become a go-to-guy? Hayward definitely has talent, but he lacks toughness. He fights through screens like a pansy man and his dribble is too high in the lane and gets stripped easily.

I did see glimpses of brilliance last year which gave me a flicker of hope.. unfortunately it faded quickly.

NOT!

Should've given it to HAYWARD!!!!!

FIRE TY!!!!!!!!! REPLACE WITH HORNACEK. THEN SURROUND HAYWARD WITH SMARTER PLAYERS.
Must be one of the most annoying usernames I've seen.

Pretty spot on. I like Hayward, but I don't consider him a solid contributor. He has the smarts to be a nice piece, but still makes a lot of mistakes forcing passes, and is a work in progress confidence-wise.

Ehhhh, you thought Hayward was a go to guy? I like Hayward, but always thought of him as the third or fourth best player on our future teams. I still think he can be that. How many times was he left wide open on drive and kicks, but of course was never kicked too? I counted three in just the final 2 minutes. The sooner we ditch the vets and go with the youth the sooner we will be able to see what we really have. Right now all I see is vets chucking shots and our young guys following suit just so the have an opportunity to score. Ty the turd needs to quit being a little bitch.

I'm still yet to hear a good reason as to Hayward's significant drop off in production, confidence, level of play, shooting, etc. Does anyone have inside knowledge re this ? Would be interested to hear it.

The kid is just timid and afraid. He's not made for NBA ball.

Simply put, if someone said "you can make 3.6mil a year to play NBA basketball or 3.6 to play role play video games" he'd take the pro gamer route, all things equal, 10/10 times. He's just "that dude".

I think you are wrong. He plays with a bunch of dip ****s in the starting line up. He is not a go to guy. Expectations were far to high on this board for him.

Ok haters, how about this one?

Utah receives:

Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, and Jermaine O'Neal

Boston receives:

Al Jefferson, Devin Harris, and Raja Bell

Again, it works on both ESPN's NBA Trade Machine and on RealGM.com's Trade Checker.

Some have said that I have been fixating on this move. Well, I think this is the one that would actually get it done for both teams. ESPN projects that this trade would improve BOTH teams by 1 win each. To me, that is a great trade for both. We also would not have to give up the GS pick nor Paul Millsap. Here would be both teams' projected depth charts:

Utah
PG: Rajon Rondo, Earl Watson, Jamaal Tinsley
SG: Ray Allen, C.J. Miles, Alec Burks
SF: Gordon Hayward, Josh Howard, Jeremy Evans
PF: Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, Jeremy Evans
C: Enes Kanter, Jermaine O'Neal, Derrick Favors

Boston
PG: Devin Harris, Keyon Dooling, Avery Bradley
SG: Raja Bell, Michael Pietrus, E'Twaun Moore
SF: Paul Pierce, Marquis Daniels, Sasha Pavlovic
PF: Kevin Garnett, Brandon Bass, JaJuan Johnson
C: Al Jefferson, Chris Wilcox, Greg Stiesma

It has been said that Boston wants to acquire a better center. Jefferson would give them that, not to mention that they are the team that originally drafted him.

I'm not a sports psychologist but I play one on the internet.......I have tickets close enough to see facial expressions and every time the kid gets the ball you can see the gears turning and a worried look on his face. Sure, he has spurts, and sure, he's still really young but I'd make a wager he never becomes anything other than a VERY average NBA player at best.

I know some will now say "we never said he was going to be a star etc" but he is being talked about as a cornerstone of this franchises future. I disagree. I see a very Shandon Anderson-esque career. Flame on, my friends.

I'm confused as to what you're confused about. Maybe this will help?

I was confused if you were being serious or not. Now that I see you are, I can say you are being foolish. You can't seriously be blaming a lockout publicity stunt on why he has been playing poorly?

I know you're a fairly smart dude but your reading comprehension is off here. I didn't once insinuate that video games are ruining his game, I'm insinuating that the stress and pressure of pro-level basketball aren't for him. I think he's playing poorly because he's the sort of kid that would rather be playing video games (for example, but not limited to) for a living, all things being equal. Not really a way to test my theory, but I stand by it. The kids a *****. (<---think "cat")

There is no way Boston would be okay with this.

Bodhi is right. Hayward has more pussycat than Gorg Miller.
Hayward is softer than craig21212 watching girl on girl porn.
Softer than a fusion of Earnest and Steve Urkel.
Soft and scared like an egg on top a wall.

He's also shooting 25% from three. Jefferson shouldn't pass him anything in crunch time.
I now cringe when he shoots more than when Chuck doe.

Gotta love posters bashin Big Al when you had brick city Hayward and Carlos Arroyo Harris on the court.

Why is Big Al having to shoot 20 foot jumpers? You'd think the former #9 pick could have created for him? Or maybe the point guard?

Anyone seen what Lin, Collison, Westbrook, and Parker have done against us at the point? Why doesn't Harris ever do that to opposing defenses?
