Al Jefferson's historic statistical night

According to Elias, Big Al was only the FOURTH player in franchise history to lead the team in points, rebounds & assists within the same game. Malone did it twice, as did Maravich, Kirilenko did it once. Pretty elite company, if Al passes like that every night we are probably a playoff team. I have been critical of #25 in plenty of games this year, but have to give credit where credit is due.

He'll be back to his usual chucking, non-boxing out, no defense self in no time.

But really, he's really become less and less of a black hole as the season's worn on. Well, slowly, but at least its something.

Meaningless. That's pretty much because we've had an amazing point guard throughout the history of our franchise, thus making the chances of 7 assists being better than that point guard very small. Jefferson is in that territory because our current point guard usually gets like 3 assists in a game.

Not taking anything away from Jefferson, who did improve his passing, but just saying.

Jefferson has had plenty of accolade for his play on that side of the floor. Good for him. Increased trade value.

Let's talk about defense and winning close games...........................................................................

LOL. They need to add the stat for "allowing completely uncontested layups" as I am sure he lead the team there as well. Amazing that Ty puts up with THAT sh*t.

Great point.

I should probably start watching games again. I missed the Miami luck, the T-Wolves debacle and it seems like I missed a doozy here too.

Amazing how good we look playing against a team that is close to our mirror image on defense..

He made a nice pass to Harris for the game winner against Miami.......

I don't consider a pass to somebody standing on the perimeter a "nice pass".

I just want a commitment to defense, and some transition offense with all this athleticism we now have. Jefferson is anathema to both of these things. the end.

So good passes are only super fancy ones that equal a basket directly after catching the ball? Blind Jefferson hate if you can't even compliment him at all.

David Fox tweeted last night that at this stage in their careers, Malone had already done this 22 times......

Karl Malone, greatest PF ever

No. You're taking my position to its logical extreme. I just said that the pass at the end of the Miami game wasn't a "nice pass".

I've complimented him in other threads. He has magnificent games on the offensive side of the ball. If he were an above-average defender, then he'd be one hell of a player. As it turns out, his deficiencies are exactly the things that irritate me.

Don't try and reason with CT. He's always right and never wrong. He already has his opinion made up. Don't bother with presenting facts or opposing views.
