Alex Caruso has more All Star votes than Donovan Mitchell

All Star voting is dumb?

Someone alert the presses!

Did either Stockton or Malone EVER get voted in? My recollection is that they were always coaches choice.

That's all you need to know. Don't vote. Don't play this broken game.

No. They both started in the all star game multiple times.

It’s not just Caruso, Tacko Fall is currently top 6 in frontcourt players. Heck, Sabonis is behind Tacko, Hayward, and Andre Drummond

How the hell did Stockton and Malone ever get voted in?

maybe nba should make a list of players it feels deserves votes so idiot laker fans can’t jack up the Carusso’s of the world. Force fans to vote for actual players that deserve votes.

My guess is Mail in ballots v Internet ballots. Mail in ballots ensured that only fans that actually cared and most likely had some knowledge of the game voted. Now any moron with an internet connection can keep clicking to upvote players.

So should the players, coaches or reporters vote? Or some combination of those three groups? The fans have made it a joke.

Gotta mention all the votes that Steph Curry and D’Angelo Russell have gotten. I mean, at least Caruso has had to go through all the work of putting on the jersey for every ****ing game.

First if they don't make the all-star game mean something it will continue to be a huge joke. Second, the selection process should be tightened up. I don't mind a fan vote but it should be only counted for like 15% total. I'd like to see players vote = 35%, coaches = 35%, media = 15% and fans = 15%. I also think there needs to be criteria that must be met, like X% of games played, X% of team win shares or some other advanced metric. Maybe VORP idk. Or even PER. And using this criteria players make the ballot or they don't and only a "write-in" vote from coaches can get a player on the list that didn't meet the criteria or something. And limiting it to 1 vote per fan would make the vote more meaningful.

Mostly just spit-balling but if something isn't done it will just continue to spiral into total ****. It used to be a matter of pride, now it's just overgrown man-child millionaires stroking each other off. It's pathetic.

I think Rudy cares more about being recognized by the coaches more than fans though. I’m sure he felt more slighted by the coaches than the fans last year.
Either way, he cares about being an all Star.
