Gobert cares about getting in, not what fans think.
Gobert cares about getting in, not what fans think.
Are the jazz hated amongst the general nba fan or is it a small market Utah thing?
Exactly.Gobert cares about getting in, not what fans think.
Fan vote doesnt get you in. Fan voting is a popularity contest. Gobert knows he isnt popular. I dont get putting any energy into caring that much about what national media outlets say (unless we are talking about srs writers).
Because guys can pretend they don't care all they want, they do.Fan vote doesnt get you in. Fan voting is a popularity contest. Gobert knows he isnt popular. I dont get putting any energy into caring that much about what national media outlets say (unless we are talking about srs writers).

Unless I'm missing something relatively new, the fan voting only affects the starters. The coaches vote for the reserves.I don't care
Gobert cares about being an all Star though. Fans have the ability to effect who becomes an all star. So since like you said gobert knows he isn't popular, it would make sense that gobert cares about the dumbass fact that dumbass fans effect the chances of him being an all Star.
In conclusion, who cares? Gobert cares.

NBA should end the All star game. It moved beyond meaningless into the realm of absurdity. It is has become a caricature* of itself.
Bring on the Fun as Hell Tournament.
* caricature-
noun
- a picture, description, or imitation of a person in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.
Duh. But the fans having a say means that there are less spots up for grabs for the players that make the team without the fans vote.Unless I'm missing something relatively new, the fan voting only affects the starters. The coaches vote for the reserves.
But no one makes the starters who shoulddn't be in, so Rudy isnt affected.Duh. But the fans having a say means that there are less spots up for grabs for the players that make the team without the fans vote.
Less spots up for grabs means less odds of getting a spot..
