What's new

Alex Jensen on the coaching staff?

I saw him play in the CBA a few years ago and he was scrappy.

Yeah he was a SF but if I remember right (partly due to his lack of athleticism) in college he also played some PF and again in college he could hit the three but also could play in the post, so not to compare directly but kinda like Battier or Harpring or even Corbin, all SF's that could play PF if you go small.

And not related to anything really but just noticed he, Harp, Bell and myself are all born in the same year.

I don't want him as an assistant coach. All the Ute grads will be yelling for him to replace Corbin every game Corbin makes a mistake. Just kidding................just tired of the Ute crowd using the same argument every time Jimmer's name is brought up.

If Ute fans came to games and chanted Bogut or Andre Millers name when they Played against the Jazz, and squealed like little girls every time they touched the ball you might have a point.

Interesting. I don't remember him at all (sorry, not a Ute fan). What made him your favorite player?

My all time favorit Ute. Not even close to being the most talented, was a leader his teamates loved him, he even loved coach Majerus (a hard thing to do). He was a JYD type of hustler who did all the dirty work. I'd look at the box score, and see all the rebounds stills and all the little things that help a team win. Then I'd look at how many points he scored and be shocked when I saw 20 or mor points on the board.

For me he's a top 5 all time Ute, and just so happy he's with the jazz. He reminds me of a cross between Harpring and Carroll.

Anyone else think that this is preparation for him to become the 3rd assistant coach once Sidney Lowe goes to court?

Sidney Lowe's court date is July 31st.

Robert Tractor Traylor spent 3 years on probation and 3 month in a half way house for not paying taxes (He was found dead in 2011. RIP). I met him at the Rocky Mountain Review. Huge Michigan fan growing up.

Brad Jones could become the lead assistant
Michael Sanders & Brad Jones would be 2nd & 3rd assistants.

Am I speculating too much? Would the Jazz look for someone with more experience after Sidney Lowe's court date? Like Vinny Del Negro? Spurs connection?
