What's new

All he does is lose, lose, lose no matter what

Man, you Ty haters can't even leave him alone now that he is gone. I knew it would happen but the first game of summer league.. summer league. Come on people just let it go.

The Sacramento Kings headed to the 2014 NBA Las Vegas Summer League with a lot of talent on their roster.

How does a team with Nik Stauskas, Ben McLemore, Derrick Williams, Ray McCallum, Quincy Acy, and MarShon Brooks lose to a team with Kyle Anderson, Austin Daye, Jeff Ayres, Vander Blue, Melvin Ejim, and Bryce Cotton?
.

this is the reason why they won:

Fixed.

Newsflash. Quinn isn't a much better coach. Hopefully you all will bash him every chance you get to. How bout your players just stink. Blaming the coach is what people who never played the game do.

Thanks Crobin.

Nice to see you still on here after moving on to Scratomentos.

Jazz lose to the spurs... Check

Kings win SL championship... Check

Biggest fail of a thread... Check

Why the hell is this a thread?!?!

Why the hell is this not in the general nba?!?!?!

And can't you just let me forget about that past idiot coach?!?!

Next time post something worth while!

The hate for Ty is unfounded. While I never felt like the Jazz should have handed him the reigns when they did and I think moving on was correct, he was not a bad coach. He was dealt a tough hand every year and got us to the playoffs one year when it was a stretch. He did his role with class, unlike the bashing that goes on about him on this board. Good luck to Ty.

Ty was caught in a bad situation. He was originally hired to carry on Jerry's legacy. Suddenly, we all realized he wasn't Jerry. He tried to change the defense, it didn't work. He gets a new boss who wonders, "why are we trying to carry on Jerry's philosophy when that philosophy is outdated". Ty couldn't change and his gig wasn't renewed. Quin won the press conference, he killed it in the Jazz practice, and his interviews are refreshing. He seems to be on the same page as DL and we'll see how he does on in-game adjustment. Coaching is about decision making and Quin looks like he makes good decisions.

There were things he deserved to be bashed for. And he could have EASILY kept his job. He was just a stubborn man, inflexible in his philosophy, unwilling to commit to player development. In some ways, he was a little like Hollins...you HAVE to be willing to form a partnership with the GM in molding the team; he didn't do that.
