All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

LOL .. that's a cool strategy man. How did you come up with your list of (exactly) 38 players???

A combination of a lot of things, discard players that I don't know about, value players that I know and like, also who will fit well on a team, etc. It just happened to come out to 38 players, lol.

the 5th pick of All-Time NBA Draft Powered by QuinSnydersHair;

as addictionary, I select Lebron Raymone JAMES

lebron-james-wallpaper.jpg

to be my center piece for the roster I'm looking forward to build.

People who know me knows that I am not the biggest fan of the guy. At least I was not. But the last move he did, made me reconsider my biased opinions about him and give him a chance to be a superstar that I could actually support for success. People are born into this world as uncarved rocks, they are shaped into fine sculptures by the chisel of experience. They can change you to anything that neither you and anyone else can think you can become before. I think and hope to be true that he is a fine example for that now.

Lebron James is considered as the best player active. I would like to argue that with Durant. Maybe I wouldn't pick Lebron if he was still at Florida. But I have higher hopes for him now. (BTW I would like to draft Danté Exum but there is still a few years for that).

Allright, first of all, dude is a leaper. That is supported by a very good instinct build through experience for basketball IQ. We could see him get lost at times before, but in his final years, I just can't see him not dominate his opposing defense. I'm just so curious about how the new Cavs offense will work with the Lebron of today.

Personal Measurings: Bron has grown into 6 feet and 8 inches and weighs 250 libres right now (if we don't count that last KFC menu he had). Uses right hand. Has a wing span over 7. Standing reach is over 8'10'' Leaps over 40 inches.

lebron-james-gold-medal-golden-nugget.png
Career Stats: Bron had played in 842 regularity (only missed 1 starting line-up) and 158 play-off (never missed a line-up) with a total of 1000 games in his 11 year career.

Regular: 27,5 points, 7,2 rebounds and 6,9 assists. Oscar Robertson, one of the guys I was thinking of picking other than Bron alongside my local hero Abdülkadir Esat (didn't pick him since he is not NBA material) would appreciate these lines.

Appeared in 10 All-Star games.
Won 2 biggest'nes and 2 Finals MVP's.
4 MVP's.
2 All-Star MVP's
Made it to 8 All NBA first teams and 2 second teams alongside 6 NBA All Defensive teams.
Was ROY
and won 1 scoring title
2 Olympic golds 1 bronze
1 FIBA Americas gold 1 bronze

I think any basketball fan would judge his unwillingness to score the crap out of the opposition by his all-around game and willingness to make his team play, make the gears turn. He has the great body build up to play both ends of the floor. Unstoppable 1on1 offender. Really wide offensive gameset. Can get it done by himself pretty much anytime he wants or creates for others. Can score from outside on spot ups, off dribbles, jump straight, fade away any way you can think of. Defensively, he is not the guy you would want as your matchup because of the strength and agility parabol he has. He can become the uncrossable defender if he is pissed. Can defend anyone from PG's to even some centers sometimes on switches or defensive collapses. Can steal. Has quick hands. Don't use'em to block too much anymore but is capable if pushed.

Definite contender. His teams made playoffs all the time if you drop the first 2 years which is nice to me if you remember he spent 7 in Cleveland and those were his less grown up years. Especially mentally.

Good choice for team chemisty builder and orchestrator as a perfect pick for all-around point-forward player with great athleticism, power, motor, endurance, contending/competing attitude and BBIQ.

His teammates can get bored of his dominance when he feels like scoring 50 or 60 that night...

Bosh-Lebron.gif

And I consider him more clear-headed even though people will keep reminding him of obvious things...

tumblr_m2gd0m0lBR1qe1pkvo1_500.gif

But he has a more mature and goal-set mind right now to lead his team to a point. So matured that he can now appreciate real success...

lebronpop.gif

And he can have fun every now and then, so not the most straight wall dude for your taste...

lebron-harlem-shake.gif

So that's about it. You know the guy. You know he can achieve great things. And he is my choice. So I can call him one of his nicknames: The Chosen One (gay I know).

To no ones surprise the first player selected in the "2014 Jazzfanz Fantasy Draft" is Wilmington North Carolina's son:
Michael Jordan

His Airness's achievements are:

2X USA Athlete of the year
1982 NCAA Champion

1984 NBA Rookie of the year
1985 All NBA 2nd team
10x All NBA 1st team (87-93, 96-98)
9x All NBA Defensive 1st team (88-93, 96-98)
3x AP Athlete of the year (91-93)

14x All Star (85-93, 96-98, 02-03)
3x All Star MVP
2x Slam Dunk Champ

5x NBA MVP (88, 91-92, 96, 98)
3x NBA steals leader (88, 90, 93)
10x NBA Scoring Champion (87-93, 96-98)
Chicago Bulls all time leading scorer

6x NBA Champion (91-93, 96-98)
6x NBA Finals MVP (91-93, 96-98)
2x Gold Medal
FIBA World Champ

Best year stats:
37.1ppg (86-87)
3.2 stls, 1.5 blk (87-88)
8 rbd, 8 asts (88-89)
53.9 fg% (90-91)
42.7 3pt% (95-96)

Air Jordan is not only the best player to step on the court, but perhaps the single greatest Athlete to grace professional sports.

BTW I live in Wilmington and have played ball on the same court that MJ played High School ball at; Laney Trask High.
Improved drafting. Sorry can't do pics on my phone.

Addictionary is da man btw

Good pick.

There is 1 dude that im shocked has not been picked yet..... maybe because he played too long ago

I think he was out (at 1am!!!) and he's still on his way home to do the write up, etc. We forgot to tell him he could have just picked the player and do the write up later. (Which is what Thee is gonna do)

Nevermind.

Oh crap! OK well. Sorry for the delay. Really did what I could as fast as I can. Just didn't wanna post some sheet straight away.

Awesome post.

Alright guys - I'm gonna give everyone an opportunity to give me your best offer for the 6th pick.

Give me your best shot!!!!

My best shot? You want my honest answer? I'm buzzed off some IPA's and gonna go crush some Dogfish. That's real beer sons. If you haven't had any, I highly recommend it.

OK dudes. Would love to chat. But it's 4 am right now and I have a thrilling 12 hours worktime waiting for me tomorrow (today actually). So a few hours of sleep would be nice.

C ya. I'm sure I'll have plenty to read tomorrow.

Hakeem Olajuwon
Best footwork in the low post in the game, great defender, passer. Great midrange game, and makes players around him better, and took Shaq to school in the finals, he won two.

Just want to give some more highlights of the Dream. With career stats and some more thoughts.

In the hall of fame

As you can see there are no centers like him, yes you can get a lot of good centers later in the draft, but all had weaknesses. The Dream was great to elite of the elite. In every category I looked at. In my mind the greatest center of all time. Absolutely no holes in his game. Also would like to add that he was one of the few superstars that didn't need another superstar to help him win a championship. Truly deserving of the third overall pick in any all time draft.
