All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

Whoa man!

It's like any other beach in my country.

God I love my beloved Turkey especially when I have some ****ing time to enjoy the great shores that covers its entire Southern and Western parts. I like Northern shores too though. I'm descendant from folks of Trabzon, I should like.

Seriously though, it looks really nice.

I hope I can enjoy the Atlantic one day. I hope I can enjoy any other sea other than Mediterranean.

Best pick of the first round.
Dude should have been top 3 at least.

Put him on duncan..... duncan gets shut down.
He always pwned wilt when they went head to head.
probably could put him hakeem and kareem and he could hold his own.

I'm not sure the team building around Russell has ever made it out of the first round.

For every person who thinks "OMG Russell so bawse! Championships guys!" you'll find someone else (or two) who is like "Umm he played against a bunch of scrubs (and still never even averaged 19ppg) and is a center that weighs less than Gordon Hayward".

You can debate how good he would actually fair against guys like Hakeem, Shaq, Kareem, etc.... and that's exactly the problem. The fact that it's even a question. It's a doubt in many people's minds--the minds of the people who are voting to determine the winner. Where as with the other centers I've mentioned, there is no debate. They would dominate any era of basketball. Period.

There's a reason Russell never gets drafted especially high in this thing. He didn't "fall" this year. In fact, he was drafted higher this year than he was last year, and is the first time over the past three years that he's been taken before Shaq (Hack once took Shaq 2nd overall and won the whole the thing with him).

I think Russell deserves to be on the Mt Rushmore of basketball, no question. But in terms of how he would do against the Centers of the 90's is another story. It's up for debate, and is precisely the reason why no one ever takes him high in these drafts.

Whether the doubts are warranted or not, there are doubts there.

I think it would be hard to compare the dream to Russel if it wasn't for Chamberlain. Chamberlain was a better on both ends of the court than Hakeem. Chamberlain would get you more points, boards, blocks and still give you 4 assists. He was bigger, stronger, and could leap out of the gym. With all that Russel still bested him repeatedly. here is a little video on Chamberlain. Check out how high he would get in the air in his prime. (yes that is the terminator saying Chamberlain would lift him with one arm like it was nothing)

top 5 centers all time

1. Russell
2. Chamberlain
3. Hakeem
4. Kareem
5. Shaq

If you want your C to be your leading scorer you take one of the other guys. Russel could score and was a fantastic athlete but he liked to play ball in a system, team oriented Duncan type.

Russell had a better team than Chamberlain, switch Chamberlain and Russell and Wilt would probably have 13 titles.

Hakeem is the all time leader in blocks buddy, and no way he's a better defender then the Dream. Chamberlain was a scorer. That is what defined his game. The Dream is the most versatile center to ever play the game. If you look at the stats I posted on Hakeem, you can make a case for him being a top 5 defender in the history of the nba.

If your building a team there's no way you take Chamberlain or Russell over Hakeem

You mean like in 68 and 69 when Chamberlain had Elgin ****ing Baylor and still lost to Russell.

Blocks were not a statistical category back then. Hakeem was not the shot blocker that Russell or Chamberlain was.
