All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

Good luck, man.

Thanks. She has a kidney infection and has bad reactions to antibiotics. They gave her a shot and two hours later her throat started to swell up and she can't breathe. They're trying to overdose her on Benadryl. I'm in the ER waiting for them to hook up the IV. Have a long night ahead of me.

Sorry guys. I'm trying to sort it all out. You both have good offers. I win the award for coolest negotiation in this draft. My wife is in the next room over getting an IV and kicked me out. I've been telling funny stories and trying to comfort a little girl who got run over by a car and broke her leg. It's my 3rd trip to the ER this week. Steve Young's brother is my wife's doctor. I have both offers. Just need to take a minute to evaluate which one works best for me. Thanks for being patient.

Just agreed to trade 39, 58, 97 to Ellis269 for 47, 50, 71.

Confirmed. Hopefully I'll actually end up with one or two of my target players by cutting a deal to move up a bit. Wish I'd have been more aggressive earlier. Would love to have gotten Dr. J and Barkley to team up with Magic Johnson. That would have been one helluva fun trio.

As it is, I still like my group of Magic, Ewing and Wilkins - not sure how they fit together yet. Depends on who is still around at 39 and 58.

With the 17th pick in the 2014 Summer Sucks Draft jazzyapma selects:

4× NBA rebounding champion (2004–2007)
Minnesota Timberwolves all-time leading scorer
McDonald's All-American MVP (1995)
Illinois Mr. Basketball (1995)

One of the best all-round players of all time. He is an MVP, Defensive Player of the year, 14-time All-Star, 9-All NBA Selections, and had 10-All Defensive Selections. He is the only player in NBA History to average 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in 6 consecutive seasons, the Only player in NBA history to reach at least 20,000 points, 11,000 rebounds, 4,000 assists, 1,200 steals and 1,500 blocks in his career and the fourth player in NBA history to win an MVP and Defensive Player of the Year award. He is also the only player to lead the league 5 consecutive times in defensive rebounding.

One of the greatest defensive players of all time and one of the most unselfish players ever. A one of a kind player. There has to be something said about him not jumping ship like Lebron, and sticking with a terrible Timberwolves team. He literally carried that team, and if anyone remembers the 04 playoffs when he carried them to WCF.

I have one of the best front courts so far, the only front court that will compete against mine will be spycam1, Kareem & Garnett vs. Shaq & Nowitzki. It will be an interesting match-up.

There is going to be a guy picked within the next 8 or so picks that may have the best highlight video of all time (if we dony include alec "slick pimp" burks anyway)

I cant wait

Hell, I'm getting my *** kicked today. . . so I might as well go out in style. Sorry it's taken so long to make my pick. My wife is having a bad reaction to some medicine. I have to take her to the hospital.

With the 26th pick, Ellis269 selects SF: Dominique "The Human Highlight Reel" Wilkins

Don't have time to post more than this. Heading to the ER now. Sorry about the delay.

If anybody has anything else they can post to help me out, feel free to add. Otherwise I'll add stats and more when I can. Sorry.

I'm at work, but I'll get on my phone as I can. I thought Jeffery would have picked by now.

Someone can text me when my pick is up if I'm taking forever.

Jeffrey is on the clock. Still. I just PM'ed him.

I also updated page one according to the WC/Ellis trade which seems very fair. I hope your wife's okay, Ellis.

Oh yeah..and...

Jeffrey32 is on the clock

Thanks. Her kidneys still hurt, but at least she can breathe okay now. We go home late/early and then I stayed up making sure she slept okay.

I'll need to go back and add some stuff for Wilkins. The guy truly was a highlight reel. Him and Magic are going to be fun together.

Watching their highlights, it pisses me off that Jazz management screwed things up so bad during the early years. The Jazz should have had 3 hall of famers playing together starting in the 80's. They had the draft rights to Moses Malone, Magic Johnson and Dominique Wilkins. You put those 3 guys together with some decent pieces around them, and the Jazz might have been an entirely different franchise. Maybe they're not looking up so much to the Lakers during that time period.

Don't know the details on Malone, but the Magic thing was a huge blunder, but if I recall didn't us selling Dominique Wilkins draft rights keep the jazz in Utah, and you can't fault Larry Miller for wanting to keep the jazz.
