All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

I figure, that with my draft strategy getting smashed up yesterday, I'll draft the guys that I'm high on and then figure out how they all fit together. I'm not necessarily unhappy with my picks, but I really should have tried trading up from 23 and 26 for Dr J and Sir Charles. Ultimately, that's the three guys I wanted most that I realistically could have pulled off. Then traded up for a 4th guy and try to get value with the rest of my picks.

Ya i feel for ya.

For whatever reason, i loathe patrick ewing...... and i have no good reason to.

Maybe its all the sweating. He is on the mt rushmore of sweating for sure

Don't know the details on Malone, but the Magic thing was a huge blunder, but if I recall didn't us selling Dominique Wilkins draft rights keep the jazz in Utah, and you can't fault Larry Miller for wanting to keep the jazz.
Malone's rights were traded to get back one of the 3 picks that the Jazz traded to get Gail Goodrich on the end of his contract. The Jazz could have signed him outright. Had the Jazz managed to put Dantley, Malone and Magic together before 1982, I highly doubt that Wilkins refuses to sign with Utah. Those earlier missteps were huge blunders. Had Goodrich and Maravich both stayed healthy, it might have been less devastating. . . but both guys struggled during their final years while the Jazz traded away Hall of Fame talent before even knowing what they had.

Wilkins refused to sign with the Jazz. They were kept in Utah because Miller bought a 50% share of the team for $6 million dollars. Battisone was ready to jump ship until LHM stepped up. I'm pretty sure that they had the cash to sign Wilkins, but they just weren't desirable at the time and didn't want to fight him on it.

@ellis, fwiw even though i hate ewing,..... magic and dominique are two of my favorite players of all time as far as entertainment goes.
When it comes time to vote, 50 percent of my vote will be determined by overall quality/talent of the players on the team. 30 percent will go to chemistry of the players. 10 percent may go into career achievements and whatnot. After all of that there will be at least 10 percent of my vote based off of how much fun it would be to see the team play together. (im sure that most of you dont think "entertainment value" should go into the voting process but screw you guys, i will vote how i want and part of my voting will go to the team with the collection of player that i like best. call it the homerism percentage of my vote.)

Right now im liking spys mix of Shaq and Dirk the most probably.

Still alot of basketball to be played though

Jeffrey should just let me do this pick for him anyway.
