Sepanol, your blind love for Kanter must keep you from seeing Al's improvements from the beginning of the year. Al has never been on a team that plays team ball. Big Al seems to have picked that part of his game up. If you would take your blinders off you would see this, you would see the chemistry between Al and Millsap.
Al's contract is not outrageous as you say it is. Al isn't paid like an elite superstar they get paid max contracts. By my count there aren't more then 10 elite level superstars. Then there are also players that get paid like superstars like Gay, the last year of his contract pays him over 19 million. (not elite level). Let's look at Joe Johnson, the last year of his contract pays him over 24 million (not elite level). Look at our very own AK, even he was paid more then Al. Al is paid market value, the same as other players at his value. The owners set the market. Al is paid what NBA owners expect to pay a player of Al's caliber.
I dont compare him to Lewis or AK because bad example is not an example at all. He is getting paid way over what he deserves , just like Harris. 9 million isnt that a lot but if you are looking what Harris provides it is a lot. Come on, do you think Millsap and Big Al getting paid with 1/2 ratio is fair?
It is way too early to say Big Al improved since the begining of the year, because, its only the beginning of the year already. He played some bad games and some better games, that doesnt mean he improved a lot, it is like, Big Al plays bad this Dallas game and i come here and say hey you see how much Big Al went backwards since the beginning of the year, that is nonsense.
What i dont like is, just because someone played good or bad one game (etiehr Big Al or Hayward, not Millsap because he always plays with his maximum) people suddenly praise or criticize badly. If you are judging players only with 1 game, then Kanter should be another Nowitzki, he scored 34 in nike hoops. That is pretty ridiculuous for me.
