Allergies

Find a good M.D. who practices environmental medicine, especially one familiar with toxicants and the impacts of their exposure on people. Visits to them will be technically free (as it's an allopathic practitioner) if MD visits are covered under your private health care. I'd suggest getting your body thoroughly analyzed for toxicant accumulation. Just a hunch of mine, take this all with a grain of salt. Lots of Vit. C in the meantime.

Dude took one look at me and thought it was Candida for sure. Tried the Candida cleanse, took two different types of medication for it, and nothing. I was pretty bummed bc my symptoms did fit, but nada. Anyways, good ideas, and definitely stuff I'm going to bring up at Mayo. Thank you again.

So, still no progress on this front. Went to a NaturoPath for a while, he tried a lot of things but never got any results (except I lost weight on a cleanse yay). Anyways, I'm off to Mayo Clinic this weekend, hoping that somebody there will have answers. Hoping to get a whole bunch of tests run, bloodwork, biopsies, etc etc...if this doesn't work, idk what I'll do. I'm freaking miserable, but at least I'm still alive I guess.

If anybody knows of any fun things to do in Rochester/Minneapolis, lemme know. Planning on hitting up the zoo with the kid, but it's supposed to rain most of the week. Should still be fun though.
Go to the Mall of the Americas. It's pretty cool. There's an amusement park inside that your kid might like. Maybe you can go to a Vikings game. I'd be jealous. That new stadium looks beautiful.

Would love to go to the Packers-Vikings game, but I'm a poor and have a 10 month old with me who goes to bed at 7 (game is at night). Probly hit up the MOA of course, it's my patriotic duty.

Well, maybe you can sneak out of the hotel room and watch the game at a sports bar. I've had some very fun evenings in sports bars like that. If you're ever in Pittsburgh I would be interested to hear whether you agree that they have the funnest sports bars in the known universe.

Good luck, Bern. That sucks. I went through something similar though admittedly not nearly as bad about 15 years ago.

Hope they find out what your problem is. ( ;) )

I tried the vitamin C thing too and thought it worked for me! I've taken way less allergy medication. (Although I started magnesium and 5-htp too)

I've been on again off again sick for like a month now and every time I get better, I get sick again like a week later. I usually get my ragweed allergies from mid-August to mid-September but I honestly don't think it's that. Been taking a multi-vitamin and Vitamin C. But damn those orange-flavored chewable Vitamin C's. They're like crack. I ate about 8-10 500mg ones last night over the course of the last two hours before I went to bed.
