This is incredibly embarrassing. Wouldn’t it be cool if someday America grew up and finally got the balls to join the rest of the industrialized world? Btw, anyone else old enough to remember when republicans bitched that Obamacare was gonna take over our health care and make it completely socialist and in order to preserve health care services that there’d be death panels? lol

if I could make one change to the country it would be this. Having our ridiculously for profit insurance company led silliness be the primary delivery system of health care in this country is just appalling. I’d love to see us adopt a system like France or Germany. A system highly regulated in order to provide citizens with health care, not provide shareholders with dividends.

Yep. Been saying for a long time now that healthcare needs to be treated like a utility. We don't generally let water companies charge prices to gouge consumers because they are the only game in town. And water isn't only available if you're rich. Healthcare should be the same.
