andre iguodala probably tore harmstring

Anecdotal story time.

My hamstring popped just over two weeks ago. I think it was a grade 2 (out of 3 grades). If you hear a pop and can't walk it's at least a grade 2 I think. I was in pain and could barely walk for a few days. Only after about a week could I really start straightening the leg and then bending it a bit to walk semi-normal with my heal touching the ground. Two weeks later and I still felt tightness and pain and couldn't really run.

It has been 17 days now and I can jog/run. I'm sure he'll get better treatment and physical therapy than I did, but he's out at least a week or two. His mobility will be severely limited even then. And that's assuming he didn't completely tear it which could require surgery.

Iggy said he heard a pop when it happened. That tends to lead people to believe it is a tear. Most of the time you to get a pop if its just pulled or strained. But Who knows until he gets the MRI

Thanks for clarifying.

I told people that GS making the playoffs wasn't a sure thing. If this is a serious hamstring then it could be a couple of months or more. i don't want to see players hurt and I like Iggy as a player even though I think he is a little overrated. The impact would be huge if he misses a long time. Yes the curse of GS lives. I would love it if the GS pick became the number 1 pick.

Maybe we could trade them back Jefferson for another unprotected 1st round pick, say 2018 when GS will really suck.

Well, Deron Williams was diagnosed with Curry ankle apparently, so hopefully Iggy gets diagnosed with Boozer hamstring.

I dont think this hurts them enough to knock them out of the playoffs. But if it takes their pick from 23 to 17 then its a good thing. But I fully expect Barnes to pick up the slack, and they still make playoffs.

If Barnes, Thompson, Bogut, or Curry go down, then we are talking.

Thing about a hammy injury is they linger, and tend to cause other injuries due to the person working the the other leg more then usual, plus this problem will take away some of AI's athletic ability, and he needs that to be affective. I expect other injuries for him in the future.

Barnes isn't much of a ballhandler or distributor, though. Is he? They can afford to lose a shooter, they can not afford to lose playmaking.

Not related with the topic but, i heard Boler calling an nfl game of Kansas State on fox sports here in turkey. I was zapping and i was like "whaaattt boler?!?" Is he done with root? I've never heard him calling a jazz game this season. Actually i like steve-ron more than Mr Biggggg allllll and Matt Harpring.

Steve Brown is the worst. Ever.

Ron Boone isn't far behind. The two of them are constantly calling the players by the wrong name. For instance, last night one of them called Favors, Gordon Hayward. I was like, WTF, how do you get that wrong? I have a feeling if Boone were the play-by-play guy you'd be singing a different tune.

I've thought about starting a thread about this. I'm actually wondering if Harpring won't do games with Brown because he's so awful.
I've been getting a lot of road broadcasts lately on LP Int'l. The quality of announcing seems to have gone up league wide. I'm not sure I'd put Boler-Harp in the "above average" group anymore.

I've been listening to several games on the radio and it's embarrassing how bad they're hacking player's names. Both Boone and Locke couldn't for the life of the figure out how to pronounce Joakim. Wah-kum, Joe-keem. Joe-kum. Same with Vasquez. Like they've never heard the proper way to pronounce an Hispanic name, like it's 1971.

EDIT: Well, I guess I'm the idiot, he prefers Joe-keem I guess

I get the feeling it goes even deeper than that. I think Harpring is plotting Steve Brown's murder.

So awkward the other night when they got in that little fight over how many teams Belinelli had played for. Brown was way off, as usual, and when Harpring corrected him he wasn't even playful about it. Basically just "You're wrong. It's seven."

Later in the game Brown caught Harpring calling Ginobili a European player and kept trying to correct him in the middle of his point. Dead silence from Harpring. Pure, searing hatred.

Or I could just be reading too much into things... :)

I wonder how Locke would mesh with Harpring, that could really get ugly.
