Vets don't play backup roles on Corbin's team. There's no way Bogut, 'a proven veteran,' doesn't start.
 
Bogut, Biedrins and Barnes to clear cap space for GS to sign Howard.
Bogut would start, but he'll be injured half the season, so no big deal. And those big salaries are expiring, so we'll be set for FA next season. We get the player we should have received if not for their tanking. Salary is no big deal since we have to pay out the difference between the minimum and our actual anyway. Barnes clearly makes us better. Biedrins rides the pines or maybe we buy him out. Bogut makes a difference when healthy. I think we'd still miss the playoffs, but not by much. So, is Barnes worth the difference between the #8 and #14 pick next year?
 
Are you kidding me -- Bogut when healthy is one of the best centers in the league. He even made an impact in the playoffs this year when he was only 50 percent healthy and had hardly played all season. But one big ahead of Favors and Kanter, especially one who only will play 30 minutes max is better than two. We'd be crazy to pass on him. But GS only will trade him if they get D12.

WHEN HEALTHY. That's the key.
The last five seasons he's played 36, 69, 65, 12 and 32 games. That makes Carlos Boozer look like Cal Ripken Jr. He's not a part of the rotation going forward after 13/14. It's a salary dump GS HAS to make. And for that, you charge them up the wazoo. Lindsey needs to say, "Barnes or Thompson is part of the deal, or we walk away...and so does Howard. Is it worth letting him go to Houston or re-signing with you bitter rival, the Lakers. Give us a call tomorrow if you change your minds, but we're working on other deals so that's all the time we can give you."
 
What signing Millsap and Bogut ? And how much will Kanter play ? pls. no more VETS on the BIG-MAN spot.
