What's new

Andrew Bogut

If Bucks objective is to save money, it's a pretty good move for them actually. Conversely, this would assume that Greg is willing to spend his dad's money.

the Jazz could structure the deal to save money this year (i.e. include Kirilenko). for all the complaining amongst the fans, the Millers have spent far above the cap the past few seasons. if they want to continue that spending into the near future, flipping Kirilenko's contract into longer term deals would be the most obvious way to do that. if they just let Kirilenko walk, then they'll have to come up with some other way to get the spending back up (extending/re-signing current Jazz players).

what about the Bucks? their roster looks like crap. i don't see how they win anything, even at full strength. are they going to just rise up and start competing with the Celtics/Magic/Heat by rolling out Salmons, Gooden, and Maggette? hardly. why not blow it up? they could try to build something new around Jefferson.

A significant part (and subsequently, a driving force in making the post at all) of my barb against Greg is purely that. I don't like him, I think he's a vindictive ******* with no particular skill, even less tact, and has done little to deserve what he's inherited besides being born first and not be a complete hapless retard.

Moving on, spending above the cap is practically mandated by league rules. That means nothing. They've spent the last two years above the tax because of stupid decisions (or lack thereof, in the case of keeping AK around for the entirety of his deal) and they would've dealt him THIS year just to get CLOSER to the tax without getting under it. Making moves to save cash are not a foreign concept to this franchise even if they definitely nutted up to acquire Jefferson and for whatever nebulous reason they decided it prudent to keep AK and his absurd contract around.

Getting to the point, taking on Salmons, Maggette, and Bogut is a ton of ****ing money. I'm not asking or lobbying them to do that even though they could probably afford it. Once you reach the LT, you start incurring expenses at a net exponential rate, and a move like this could be absolutely crippling depending on how the next CBA works out.

If you have any further questions, go back to the first point I brought up.

We whiffed not taking Deandre Jordan who i wante don the jazz. Hes starting and hes a legi 7ft and not a stiff like bogut. We need a big nasty big man not no finesse euro

So stupid. Trading al for an oft injured player is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Milsap for bogut I would do. But these al haters a freaking lame.
