I don't personally own an AR-15, but I have known some people who use them for coyote hunting. There's nothing stopping people from using them for various types of hunting.Just curious, AR-15 defenders often claim that it could be used for self defense and hunting. But who here actually owns it for that purpose? I’m curious.
I think Fox News and trump should reconsider the words they use. When talking about “globalists” and “making nationalism great again” these are obvious dog whistles to Nazis. We’ve now had a week of republican inspired terrorism carried out by deplorable right wingers and Nazis. Just the other week, Kevin McCarthy (Rep) tweeter that this caravan was sponsored by 3 prominent Jews (one being Soros). And we wonder why anti-semitism crimes are skyrocketing?
Words matter. I don’t think Trump, his cult, and his media apparatus can just shrug this week’s terrorism off without there being dire consequences.
I don't find it hard to believe at all that a person could have an AR-15 that is available to them for self defense in the home. I mean a lot of these folks imagine (fantasize) that multiple criminals are going to come bursting into their house and then engage in a prolonged gun battle. I mean, that's not really a thing that happens, but I know people who seem to think it's necessary to be ready for such a thing. An AR-15 is what I'd want in that imaginary scenario, I mean along with a pistol or revolver or two, and yeah, a shotgun, probably gonna need a shotgun, you know just to cover all my bases.
