Based on this ibtimes article by the most reputable journalist on the planet, the Kings could be thinking about trading the Jimmer to either Denver or Utah.
It mentions 2nd round picks as about the value he could go for.

If this is even an option, the most I would go is the warriors 16 and 17 2nd rounders we have, or one of those and the nuggets 18 2nd rounder.

I hope this satisfies the intense demand we have for insane trade threads and Jimmer threads all in one.

(keep in mind this was written before he blew up last night for 23pts 5dimes 4reb 2stl and 5-7 from 3 last night. He could be worth tons more after that preseason game.)

I don't get it... did you just edited this bit in later on? How come it didn't show as an edit then?

I still doubt Kings would settle just for a second rounder, but if true I think it would be a no brainer for Utah.

I sure hope that was bad sarcasm and that you really understood that he meant the ARTICLE in his link had been written before the game and not that the post had been written before the game.

Actually Warmmmnickkkk if you edit a post within a couple of minutes it doesn't show as being edited. Just an FYI.

Jimmer scored 23 points the other night.

And he started. It's hard to tell what their intentions are by doing so unless they are showcasing him. He has multiple DNPs already in the preaseason which would be odd if they are trying to develop him at all. Seems almost as stupid as Gobert not playing.

This is Sacramento we are talking about.

i would trade for him for a couple second rounders

Me too.
Contract is pretty friendly and its done after this year if things don't work out (I think there is a team option for one more year)

Do you think any of this changes now? I heard he scored 23 the other night.

Jimmer could help this team win and make money this year. In the long run he would have a hard time as a rotation player on a great team. But at the right price he would be valuable. Personally I wouldn't pay more than a single 2nd round pick.

question: would you give up our next years second?

No way. I'd give up the GS pick, though. Utah's 2nd may be more valuable than the GS 1st-rounder. Why? Because the player value will be close, but the 2nd-round contract isn't guaranteed. It's likely Utah could trade their 2nd and "future considerations" to move up into the late 20's if they want (i.e. a deal with a contender that is up against the tax line).

Most redonkulous post of the off season, and I have read every one of Orangello's posts.
