Another OC for the Utes...

If you have horrible QBs it doesn't really matter who the OC/team of OCs are.

This is problem #1, #2, and #3. That's why I don't know if Whitt should be on the hot seat yet. Wynn was done as a sophomore, but Utah was still in the MWC and had trouble getting another QB to come in. After their first year in the PAC-12, Wilson and Hansen signed on. Hansen went on a mission, Wilson started. Then they received three more commits, Manning, Cox, and Thomas. This year, we have another one coming in (Isom). Whitt should be given enough time to have one of those kids make it to his JR year before he gets the axe.

I think I'll just avoid the fact that E.J. effectively brought this thread to a screeching halt with his incredibly keen insight, rapist wit, and all-around bad assishness, (I mean, damn, I even made up one of them-thar "big words") and just make a half-assed attempt at insulting him. (people won't know that it's the best my boxed-wine drenched brain could come up with, so I got that going for me. LOL!!1

Probably your only option up to that point, so no street cred will be deducted.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around any BYU fan coming in here and running smack on Utah football for a couple reasons:

1- WE ABSOLUTELY OWN YOU!

And.....

2- If Utah could swap out Oregon, Arizona, USC, and ASU from their schedule for the likes of Virginia, Middle Tennessee State, Idaho State, and Nevada, they'd be a 8 or 9 win team who consistently beats your beloved Kitty Cats like a drum.

And they still manage to kick your *** with a new OC every year. Cheer up though. At least you guys get to go the next 2 seasons without an automatic "L" on your schedule.

You're welcome.

You missed the part where Trout is NOT a BYU fan. Really he's not. He just likes to hate Utah.

So because utah has been beating byu I can't have an opinion on what utahs program is doing?
If that is the case then no ute fans can ever discuss anything about any other pac 12 teams.

That is retarded..... I can be dissappointed in byu while also recognizing that utahs program is stuck in the mud/falling apart.

Sorry brah but myself and others are allowed to discuss the utes even if they have been owning the rivalry game

Reading comprehension my friend. My post is directed at those BYU fans taking shots and talking **** on Utah (EJ's post would be a perfect Exhibit A).

Regardless of who owns the rivalry at the present time, I think it's fair to say that both sides should be able to discuss what's going on with the other side. However, when somebody comes in and runs a bunch of junk like EJ, it just looks foolish.

And as far as Utah "falling apart", I will refer you to my prior post. Utah's football team is not falling apart anymore than the team you root for. If you flip-flop the schedules, you could flip-flop the records. Whit's track record with OC's is very similar to Bronco's. Neither has been stellar. In fact, I'll really start worrying about Whit once he re-hires an OC that he basically fired 2 seasons earlier.

It's eerie how similar the two programs are, with the similar struggles, etc. Crazy.

Anyways, I don't think Utah is dropping or getting worse at all. I think Utah is actually getting better. I think Utah's depth is better than it has ever been, their NFL talent is better, their coaches are better. I just think Utah has been hurt at the one position you can't afford to be hurt at: QB.

Look at the QB history:

2010 - Wynn - he gets hurt. MWC.
2011 - Wynn/Hays. First year in the PAC-12. At the end of the year, you sign Wilson and Hansen. This is our first PAC-12 QB's signed.
2012 - Wynn/Hays/Wilson. Signed Manning, Cox, Thomas.
2013 - Wilson/Schulz. Isom scheduled to sign.

At the QB position, we are still all Freshman. And it's not from lack of effort. It's just been bad luck. This is why I think Whitt should get two more years before he is fired. You have to allow him to get a real QB in.

I understand that it's hard to grasp the same concepts that my three year old has mastered, especially considering how many brain cells you have left that aren't in a constant state of alcohol-induced atrophy. I applaud the effort though; Special Olympics style.

Me? Incorrect. I've never lost to Utah. Ever.

If if's and but's were peckers and nuts, you guys would constantly have a mouthful. (say, wait a minute... ARE THEY?!)

Semi-accurate. I root for BYU. I'm a fan. I would rather watch Utah lose than a BYU victory though, which doesn't really make me a super fan.

This is the truth. No trash talk or hyperbole. Trout has told me this many times, in person.

It's true, I'm awesome.

This board is actually pretty decent when Trout is banned or too busy to post because he's off trying to become a politician, half-assed cage fighter, or any other flavor of the week midlife crisis he stumbles upon.

Haha, as much as it pains me, you're pretty close on this one. I might point out though, I have little-to-no desire to "cage fight". I like to grapple. Cage fighting is for tough guys who are fast and coordinated; not my cup of tea.

Hans Olsen tweets:

DE wasn't as surprised about this move as people are believing him to be."

"DE didn't call as many plays as people think. BJ had more say and pull than what has been reported."

Is this why our offense resorted back to what it was under BJ alone? - my thought

"More of a demotion for BJ than Erickson. There is a very good chance DE stays on staff. He knows Dave well."

Once again, drama created out of nowhere.

Those quotes shed some pretty interesting light on the situation if true . I don't know what to believe anymore but if Utah scores 40 ppg and wins 8 games next year, I'll eat my crow with a smile.
