Another odd murder-suicide to end the year.

Seems like there were alot of these this year. This couple were the owners of La Caille in Sandy. I would atleast jump out of an airplane or do something fun. Go out with a bang. Killing yourself in a hotel in Provo doesnt get much more depressing than that.

Also Ive never eaten at La Caille but I will always remember it from Dumb and Dumber.
 
I don't get why people think it's necessary to make a big mess of a hotel room to do these things. If you're going to off yourself, do it in the privacy of your own house or own car. Don't go ruin a hotel room.

Yeah, do it in your own house, that way the people who cared about you can pick up the bone fragements and decide which of the linens to keep and throw away (personal experience).
 
I know their daughter and know someone that's been friends with their family for most of their life. The owners were flat broke (who has $4.7 million liquid on-hand? Even filing bankruptcy, they were being cornered for millions more than they had) after the lawsuit.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO KILL YOURSELF PLEASE REALIZE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE MESS. PLEASE EITHER GO OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE OR GO INTO YOUR SHOWER/TUB CLOSE THE SHOWER CURTAN AND DO BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT THERE WERE IT IS EASILY CLEANABLE. /endrant

Or use K-OH. It's easy to come by and leaves no mess other than what you may cause flopping around.

I'm sorry for your experience. My thought behind what I posted was more along the lines of "find a cleaner way to do it". I guess I didn't express that very well.
But then again, I guess when you're at that point in your life, thinking of others and what you leave behind isn't exactly on the forefront of your mind.

No need to apologize to me. You didn't say anything wrong and in my opinion suicide is used as a weapon against those who loved you, the ultimate final word in the relationships that are left behind. The hotel shouldn't have to deal with this type of mess anymore than anyone else should have to.
