Another premature trade thread...based on our current team, who/what could we trade Al for?

Someone mentioned this in another thread but I think I'd love to see him bounced the hell out of here for an unprotected 1st next year or since that's highly unlikely, a 1st with limited protection. This could likely give us three 1sts and somehow we may be able to turn that into the point guard of the future we need.

Are there any teams far enough under the cap to take him on without having to give much, if any salary back? A team that would also trade a 1st with top 14 protection, or something.
 
Jefferson to Toronto for Amir and the 1st with top 14 protection????????????? Maybe with Nash and Jefferson they could make it as the 8th seed and we'd see that pick.
 
Mbah a Moute and Marvin can play spot minutes at the 4.

I'm not wild about the idea, but it's a worthy one.
 
If Hibbert goes to Portland, I could see

Jefferson and Watson for Darren Collison and lottery protected first.

wow, I agree with 107. I was just about to post the same thing.

I think it is an idea in a vacuum, though. Indy will match.

I hope for the love of God that Indy matches... I don't want us facing Hibbert & Aldridge 4 times a year.
 
We're not getting Collison and a 1st for an expiring in Jefferson but yeah, I like the basics of Jefferson (and Watson?) for Collison, especially after they just extended Hill. But who could they throw in to make the salaries work?

Edit: I just saw what you wrote and which I forgot. They're gonna match for Hibbert.
 
Al to Washington for Okafur, Shelvin Mack and a 2nd round pick (it will be in the low 30's).
 
I don't think Al is going to be traded at least until the deadline. If we are playing well at the deadline he stays put. The coaches and FO like him. They believe he helps us win games. They like what they have put around him at this point.

I don't mind Al staying if he is coming off the bench. He is the third best big on this team. Let's treat him like it.
