Barcelona is a good team as a whole this year, i cant give all the credit to Ante. Plus he can ball in europe but not in nba with his physic.

Same stuff was said about Evans, he is producing.

Tomic can play in the NBA. The question is if he is willing to take the role and pay cut to do it.

Stupid wast of time bean boy. Tomic can't play here. He is weak, and shouldn't take less money and minutes to play here behind Favors Kanter and Gobert. Stop buying into the hype!

Tomic is a top player in one of the top leagues. It's not like there aren't any strong players in the Euro-Leagues that he has to deal with. He can play.

27 years old already and this week he had a career high of 24 points?
I know stats can be a bit underwhelming in Europe, but he's not much of a scorer, not a dominant rebounder and he's skinny (7'1" 225). So just what does he do well?

I'm sure he does a lot of things well in his euro-league, but not in the nba. Think about it... He's 7-1 and only 25-30 pounds heavier then Jeremy Evans. Watching him guard c's is probably like watching Evans guarding a prototypical pf.

Euro-game is way different. 24 points is impressive for a big-man. Tomic is most-certainly offensively gifted, and he could definitely be a rotation player in the NBA IMO. Comes down to whether he ever wants to make the jump. Pero Antic ended up going for the NBA in his 30s, so maybe Tomic will follow suit.

He looks skilled, but he looks a lot more labored running the court than I remember ever seeing him in that video. It is kind of frustrating how you never really know what's going on with teams and their Euro players. Guys just kind of fade away or never come over. I guess it wouldn't be smart for the Jazz to publicly say he just doesn't intrigue them enough or that he doesn't want to come over for whatever reason for trade purposes, but still, seems like there is nothing out there.

Why would he need to take a pay cut? He is not limited to any pay scale, right? He seems proven enough now that he should be able to demand whatever he is making over there.

Not sure how that works. I think there is still some kind of pay scale.

Not for 2nd round picks.

Matthews was a 2nd round pick, his 2nd contract (after 2 years in the NBA) was subject to a pay scale I believe. I think we can pay him more than he makes in Europe, but I still think there is a limit.

no worries Jazzfanz!
Izzet TURKYILMAZ has arrived to be the 2. coming of Ante Tomic.
Google him!
Even skinnier prototypical Eurowuss with a deeper range!
