What's new

Any Chance ATL wants to shed salary?

Well and that's just it after paying Joe Johnson maybe they can't match an offer to childress or maybe we can swing a sign and trade. Just thinking outside the box on this one...I personally feel Childress would be an upgrade on both ends of the floor at the 2 spot.

If either team starts to struggle, I gotta think Marc Gasol or Horford could be mentioned in trades, especially, and this is a must, if it appears their respective teams are said to be unwilling to spend big dollars on re-signing them. Memphis is a pretty cheap franchise and after giving Gay the max, I'd be surprised to see them break the bank for Gasol. Ditto that with Horford after Johnson's fat contract.

Right now, the Hawks have two PF on their roster that I would LOVE to have: Josh Smith and Al Horford. Since they can't even win a game in the 2nd round, I'd think they'd consider dumping one of those guys for some future assets. I could be totally wrong on this, but I could see them losing some games this year and dumping one of these guys.Or maybe they are cash-strapped right now because of Joe Johnson? Horford is my dream, but Smith would rock as well.

Anyways, any word on how Atlanta is doing money wise?

I really wonder why so many fans are OK with Horford coming to Jazz. He is a PF but has played at center position, making him undersized for his position.
1) Why would he be our PF? We have Millsap, who is as good as Horford at 4 IMO. Millsap has more polished moves around the basket and has a higher IQ.
2) Why would he be our Center? We complained about how undersized Millsap-Boozer combo and how Laker frontcourt basically owned us when we went small upfront and keep saying that the Jazz need to get bigger. How can that possibly happen when your center is Horford. Remember that Gortat and Howard made him and Smith look silly in playoffs. I think it is reasonable to say playing against Bynum or Gasol won't be any easier.
