the reason that sap has said over and over again that he believes he should start is because HE SHOULD START.
paul is our best player right now. might not be in 2-3 years, but right now paul does more to help this team win than al, derrick, gordon... you name it. why anybody thinks that you should take the jazz's best player and relegate him to a bench role is completely and utterly beyond me.
my order of preference:
1) trade al
2) if you can't trade al, start sap+fave and bring al off the bench
3) since #2 likely won't happen given his salary and the fact that they'll want to keep him attractive as a trade asset, start sap + al. sorry derrick, but your time will come, and you can still get 28 mpg this year, a 33% increase over last year's minutes, and have plenty of opportunities to grow your game until the jazz can finally dump al.
