Any One Want Paul George Now

George went 19/7/5 in the playoffs while having to guard two of the best scorers in the NBA in consecutive series.

Yes I'd trade for him in a hearbeat for any wing player in Utah.

The only troubling thing was that last night was for all the marbles and George along with the entire Pacer team appeared to want to have nothing to do with it. What struck me about the game was the number of point blank shots Miami had and quite a few were due to Pacer turnovers. I think Sloan would have called the Pacers play last night that they played in their tuxedos while jackpotting around.

I can only wish The Jazz could be in the position to blow the 7th game of the Conference Finals anytime before I'm ready to collect Social Security.

Oh well get there... Once Ty Corbin has another year and a full training camp. I'm sure the crap known as our offense and defense will finally look awesome! And Ty was put in such a difficult position last year with all the vets and expiring contracts. Just give him a chance and I'm sure he will do awesome.

We all wish that, no matter our age.

In other news that is kind of related....Pacers are going to be in a world of trouble. They already have Hibbert at the Max, today George announces he believes he is a max guy, Hill makes 10 millioin, Stephenson is going to want a raise, West is a FA, and Granger is overpayed for his role on the team.

It reminds me of the Jazz after their Conf. finals run. Jazz broke the bank trying to keep that group together and it still fell apart. Good luck Pacers.

They're definitely going to have some decisions to make, but Granger is expiring and they'll pay him only what they can afford (or let him walk). They can't offer West beyond the mid-level (IIRC). George is a max player (understanding that not all max players are created equal). They also have the draft, and they now have a free agent draw in being a great team. They will have Vogel who seems to only be improving and a very strong FO.

But make no mistake, they're going to lose people (Brian Shaw perhaps most notably) this year and will in the years to come.

Agree. Ty was hampered by having Al and Paul. Those two were brought in under Sloan's watch. Ty wanted to install an offense built around ball movement, and a defense that would actually challenge the 3 and prevent open passing lanes inside. But he couldn't. After next year, Ty's name will be included amongst the very best and brightest caoches in the NBA.

Maybe it's a little bit too early to say but with this season and especially the way he has played in the Playoffs, Paul George has entered Superstar territory.

Still, I like Hayward... Even a bit more despite him not having George's length and athleticzm, he still can become a very good player...

Agree. And Hayward is likely NOT going to demand the MAX. And neither will Favors - unless he has an amazing break out season. I think there's a good chance Utah will be able to have a "Pretty Big Core4" model instead of the "Big 3" everyone else is seemingly trying to achieve. I see Kanter, Burks and Hayward as part of that group. Burks might be a good complementary player. But I really think next year's draft adds the 4th piece. And I think Lindsey has convinced Miller and KOC of that fact. That's why I don't see the Jazz adding high-priced vets like Mo, or even an aging player like Foye, just to tread water for one year and damage the one really good shot Utah has at adding a Deron-type pick to the team.

It's so funny for fans to hate ty for losing and in the next thread hoping to lose to move up in the draft.

The Jazz can't have three max players so having George would force them to let Kanter or Favors walk. And I guarantee that those two will be max players because of their size and potential. The Salary cap forces there to be balance on a team between stars and role players so it's fine that we have Hayward, he's one of the most balanced role players around.
