Anybody ever visited Baja California, MX?

I have been maybe 100 times. Including two summers ago taking my family south of San Felipe and staying for two months.
I love Baja.
You want to make it down to at least Rosarito Beach or Ensenadas before deciding to stay the night. What they say about the border is true. Go through the border (no drugs and no guns and you'll be fine) and just keep on trucking until you reach Rosarito... then breathe easily.
We had a house on the beach (south of San Felipe trip) and never locked our house, car, and left our stuff scattered around outside the whole trip.. and felt safer than St. George. The people are the best in the world (srsly) once you get about 25 miles south of the border towns.
I can give LOTS of other advice once you know for sure what general area you're planning to head.
