Anyone for Cousins?

It's funny u should mention Randolph. That basically makes my case. The second he left the jailblazers he no longer was a problem player.

Randolph is an example of a player who turned things around. There are many example of those who didnt. But Randolph was also a problem in LA and NY. He got suspended for punching a teammate in LA...

Cousins is one of the best players in the league. He didn't bring down the kings. The kings brought down the kings long before Cousins got there.

So what your saying is Cousins can't turn it around given the right situation?

Clearly you havent read anything I have posted in this thread including things you have responded to so... Guess that conversation is over.

If you actually want to know I have said multiple times that I would trade for him depending on what they wanted. I have said he could turn it around but it is a huge risk. Its not up to the situation, its up to him if he turns it around. There are better and worse situations for him but those wont matter if he doesnt change.

Zach Randolph changed, he didnt suddenly find a perfect situation. He consciously made a decision to change.

And a better environment is conducive to putting him in the right frame of mind to do so. Not saying it's the only reason, but don't be so blind as to think it doesn't help. And yes, the sac org is the worst situation in the league.

Nosactown is the clippers of the 90s. They are awful. Players are happier when they leave.

Ok please stop players will hate living in utah. Players show up in oct. They play half their games on the road. During the season they dont need to bar hop and go to stirp clubs all the time.

During the offseason if they need that then they ate rich enough to go where ever they want. Hell they could go to the florida keys and spend time with pkm.

I think cousins would do just fine with the established team. The only thing i would hat would be giving up favors to get him.

No one wants to even be in Utah for that long. take a long look at reality. Utah Jazz are one of least desirable places for basketball players. Why your never a real player in free agency. Players go out. They are human, Soome are even single...
Utah is less of a desirable place to play then Cleveland and Cleveland has hard time in past getting free agents to come play with Lebron...
It is why LeBron had to leave the first time, Bosh didn't want to live in Cleveland. I know it is hard for you to accept but it is the truth, Young black players do not want to play or live in Utah. Best case is to try to get kids from the west coast and sell them on the idea they are only a hour or two plane ride until back home... Or draft Foreign players.

I know your trollin and that's cool, but

players don't want to come to Utah for the stigma and that stigma has changed a lot and is changing unless your an old person who is stuck in your boring old ways. Once players come to SLC they like it and lots of them stay and/or keep houses. I have been around a few Jazz players enjoying the night life and they had no complaints. Besides "night life" is low on most players list for why they choose a team since they travel to most major cities in the USA regularly. Also it is not the same in SLC as it was, SLC once again is a great downtown with plenty to do. You either havent been to downtown SLC in a decade, never have or didnt know where to go/have any friends to show you around. I find plenty of stuff to do and party until 5-6 am a lot of weekends. The counter culture of SLC is great. SLC is a very liberal city the Texas equivalent of Austin. The liquor laws have improved a lot, I wish they would change more but they are not that big of deal. The bars closing at 2am is a bummer but more common than not and at that point you head to the private clubs/parties where you can still have fun and drink. They still serve alcohol since they are a loophole to the bar laws. I have partied in most big cities in the USA and SLC isnt #1 but its in my top 10. Also SLC has a lot of attractive people and consistently rate high in that regard, much higher than colorado. Denver is fun, not as interesting night life as SLC but consistently fun.

If players wanted the best night life and excitment as their only reason for picking a city everyone would choose Miami, NY or LA in that order and everyone else would be nullified unless the player was from that city.

Too much talent not to take a chance on, wouldn't give up what it would likely take to acquire him tho as he's only under contract for 2 more years. Don't buy the narrative that you can't win with him, just think he needs to be paired with a coach that he likes/respects & a superstar who has already established the team as his own. Would only give up a huge haul for him in the perfect situation, which Utah definitely isn't.

Dude you got that right, when i watch the games on tv there's tonnes of hot chicks.

San Antonio crowd btw = ugliest bunch of people ever

Okur, Boozer, Booker, Rajer Bell.

I believe what I believe u can do the same. I just think he hasn't had a fair shake, and gets roared for it

Ok fair enough.

So, you can't even concede the argument that Cousins is, even to a small extent, responsible for the shi**y position in which he finds himself?

Never said he wasn't. All I've ever said was that it's not as bad as people think. He has his vices, as we all do. Sacramento isn't a good match for who he is. Had he been drafted by just about any other team, I feel his outlook would be different. This org was dysfunctional before cousins got there.

He was in fact a model player before he got injured in the first half of the year under Malone. They were contending for the playoffs with a winning record. Cousins was out for about a month, then the Kings began to go south. Cousins came back to a much different team, I think it broke him, but Malone was getting through to Cousins, then was fired, and wasn't given another year. I remember part of the reason Malone was fired was because the crazy *** owner had some outlandish ideas around how the team should be run, and it caused his relations with his coach to go south

This is how bad the org is, and now they are letting another coach go. Hard to be a model player when u want to win so bad, but the ****ing org is working against u, and really, who else is on this team that even helps Cousins. We saw what Rondo did to the mavs last year. We all saw how Toronto got better with Gay gone. They drafted Jimmer for hell sakes with I want to say the 9th pick!! Forever it's been Boogie and role players that think they are hot stuff. Is there a more dysfunctional player in all the NBA then a role player that thinks they are good??

I know he has issues, but thanks to the kings I don't think we are seeng the real Cousins. It would be amaizing if the Jazz ever landed him some how.

I'd take a gamble on Snyder being the right coach for him. We have the assets. The opportunity to acquire a talent like him is rare. If they're really willing to move him, I say go for it.

The kings are bad at the moment but they were battling with the Lakers 15-20 years ago with CWebb and Vlade..So they might be at the current moment ago but they were at one time good. Like I said one time.lol
