Anyone on the clips you would want?

After the jazz sweep the clips and move on the writing is on the wall the clippers team is not good enough to contend.

Sad part for clippers fans is a lot of their team are free agents this summer or have options. DeAndre is locked in for another year and, rivers, Wes Johnson, Crawford and Peirce.

Not a lot to build on

So would you go after any of their free agents or work a snt?

Chris Paul - the jazz need a PG and hill seems to want the money but Paul is actually worth the money.

Personally I don't think he is a good fit. He is a ball dominate PG and the jazz run a motion offense. If he accepted that he would be a great addition on a 3 year deal.

Blake Griffin - would be fun to watch playing next to gobert. Teams have to respect his shot.

But does his lack of defense hurt.

JJ redick - I love his shooting and he would be a great asset on this team but Ingles owned him and I would rather re-sign ingles.

JJ would have to come play here on the cheap.

Luc mbah a moute - I love his defense and he has been under paid. I would love to have him come off the bench for the jazz.

Any way and of them you would want?
Any you would be willing give up some assets?

No. Not for the cost. Jazz are going to have some tough decisions to make as is. Whoever they do bring in has to fit the identity of this team. Don't see any of that Clippers team in that mind frame.

Jazz will have some options for veterans at the mid level exception and minimum salary level after they make some more noise in the playoffs. Feeling pretty sure they keep Hayward, Hill and Jingles. Not sure about Burks, Lyles and Diaw. Draft a few more and start their development process.

I honestly think we are so closely matched that we have a wash or we even have the better guys, player against player, considering almost any of theirs.

Paul? We have Hill (for now anyway) and then Hayward and Hood and JJ and even Mack who are all serviceable in handling the ball and creating. Hell even Ingles. And for the money and age it would hurt our team too much to bring him in. Plus I think there are a lot of decent PGs coming into the league and here now. If we felt this was the big need we could probably do just about as good for cheaper elsewhere.

Reddick? I would take Hood and Jingles over him anyway. Maybe even Burks if he can get fully healthy and get in the game and out of permanent-iso mode.

Moute? Hood/Jingles/JJ, good enough. Not even to mention Burks.

Griffin? This is the one big maybe. Dude is solid, but man is he in it for the ego. Defense far too sporadic. I would prefer to see if Favors gets healthy over the off-season, or sign a reasonable approximation of favors.

Of course center is ours hands-down.

I just don't see any huge upside or upgrade for trading off any of ours for any of theirs, especially considering how many of theirs think they are worth max money. We can already see where a team full of their players with max money contracts gets you, repeated outs in the first round.

I would just stand pat if that were my only option.

Westbrook want a championship. Jazz plus Brook equals championship. No brained for him, even if Hayward walks. Easy decision for Wess DL did it the right way boys.

If he is cheap, Redick. I'd love him over Burks. Dead eye shooters are a premium in today's NBA so if he could be had for some cheap (2-4M per?) contract in chasing a title, I'd do it.

Reddick is going to get paid. 2-4 per is not even on the same planet, let alone the neighborhood.

When talking about Clipper players, fans should be thinking trade. Utah won't have money under the cap to go after anyone significant. It's nice and all that some people would rather have Paul than Hill, but Paul isn't a realistic option. Utah has bird rights on Hill and can go over the cap to sign him, which isn't the case with Paul.

I would love to have Paul or griffin. Both would be fantastic with the jazz imo.

Would like JJ too for the right price.

Just Paul. Griffin would cost to much compared to the value he would bring. He is one of my favorite players to watch too, but I think PF is our least important position on the team.

Jazz should be focused on picking up savvy veterans for cheap who can replace the inevitable lost production and/or depth of Withey, Mack, possibly Burks and possibly Diaw. I think they bring back Hayward, Hill and Jingles, then make some moves to try to keep the overall costs manageable. Feeling pretty sure (based on all the chatter) that Milos Teodosic will be brought over to replace Shelvin Mack.

Woah?
Isn't he going to make closer to 15 per year?

He is making 7 million. He will look for the biggest contract possible, he has never been on that big of one. It will be interesting to see what he gets paid as he turns 33 this off-season. No way in ****ing hell is he had for below 10 million a year, that is for certain.

Austin rivers would be a burk upgrqde, Speights would be ok

If The Jazz re-sign Hayward they should pick up Roberson and Mbah a Moute ASAP.

Having those two in Utah alone would boost GH's scoring about 2-3 PPG.

Mbah and possible speights if their contracts are friendly still.
If we lose this series though, I'll fly to Utah from sydney and knock the f out of mbah for ruining rudy's and our playoffs
