Yeah, I agree. And I'm usually not a fan of sitting guys. But there is no reason for them to play at all. At the very least any more than 10 or 15 minutes is just criminal stupidity.
They may not have been faking, but a little more rest, preparation and lineup tweaks could enable the Jazz to turn these meltdowns into wins. They only needed to make a few plays in the 4th quarter.
Mitchell getting right would make the difference all by itself.

Why not John Lucas I?
No Mitchell and no Bogdanovic would normally mean starting House and Huancho.

Nah. He's slowed down a little, and he definitely went through a bad slump, but he's been playing very well again the past few weeks. I think he still has a lot left in the tank for the playoffs.
