What's new

are other teams trying to scare the jazz into drafting schroder@14?

Are other teams trying to trick the Jazz.....

Yes. Everyone is lying. Even the Jazz.

2010--Jazz worked out all the PGs, everyone knew it was going to be a pg with one of the 2 picks. Jazz Jimmered the Kings into taking a flyer on a one-dimensional guy. Detroit ain't feeling so good about the guy that fell to them at 6 and Charlotte hasn't improved.

The fans and the mocks have picked Schroder for the Jazz. Jazz still haven't even finished their draft board.

Pay Jennings to run the franchise into the ground for 4 years? What's Jennings good at? Rallies. He rallies the team 20% of the time, shoots the other team into rallies 80% of the time. The PG version of CJ Miles, just with longer rope to shoot more.

we can trade him for an expiring ya know, its not like hes costing us draft picks or salary cap that we need for rookies. or we could try and pay him premium for a shorter contract, which i really like for the jazz

he does too much on the bucks

give him the weapons on the jazz, and a chance

and i think you guys will like him, dont underrate how slippery he is

That's the problem I have. He's too "slippery". He does just about everything possible on the basketball court except helping his team win. His shots aren't consistent. He's got average-blow average passing/vision. He's a below average defender. He lacks Iverson-esk ATH to be good at what he does. .... the list is too long.

For the Jazz this would be my plan, in order importance:

1. Trade up to get Burke or McCollum; if not possible then

2. Take Schroeder at #14; if not possible then

3. Take Larkin at #21; if not possible then

4. Take Wolters/Canaan/Pressey/Siva with #46; if not possible then

5. Target Bledsoe if Chris Paul stays; if not possible then

6. Tank hard and go for Harrison brothers/Kasey Hill in '14 draft.

As well as doing one of the above options, also bring back Tinsley as our backup PG. Burks is 3rd backup PG.

I do believe this is the cheapest, most executable plan, as well as the safest plan. We won't break the bank and it guarantees we get value for money too.

i believe this is pussyfooting around the issue.

- Take BPA@14 (Shabazz or Schroder) or Gobert
- Tony Mitchell@21 or Larkin
-James Southerland@ 46

offer CP3 a max contract and get feedback on what else it would take to secure his services, if not possible
try for Jarret Jack, if not possible
Jeff Teague, or Jennings for 13mil per... or try for Tyreke Evans at 4years/40mil
Sign Al Farooq Aminu for mid-level or under $$$
id take a flyer on Jeremy Tyler(or Andray Blatche if the $$ is right) and/or Marco Belinelli

i like the idea of the jazz trying to offer for Byron Mullens and Gerald Henderson, also

id do the opposite of tanking for the 2014 draft... i say lets go full force and see what we've got, going into the draft, we have enough assets to move up if we choose to pay the premium

I believe this is the best plan.

Sorry bro, but this is your worst idea yet. We agreed on taking Schroeder at #14 and Larkin at 21, but that's about it.

The rest are like ... what? Are you drunk?

- CP3? Why are you wasting my time?

- Jarret Jack - he's not a starter, and will be overvalued greatly in the offseason

- Teague/Jennings at $13mil per - bro, the last time I checked, we're not the Lakers/Knicks, ok? Paying these average talents $13mil per year is something only the Knicks would do.

- Tyreke - has proven he's not a PG in the NBA - let it go bro

- Al Farooq, Tyler, Blatche, Belinelli, Mullens, Henderson - I thought we were discussing Jazz's PG issue? Why are you suddenly talking about these guys?

- Bro.. go full force? We waited the best part of 2 years for Big Al to get off our books and all you wanted to do is go out and sign all those guys you mentioned who are average at best, and the franchise will be bankrupt in 2-3 years guaranteed (ala Detroit after they signed Villanueva, Stuckey and Gordon. They're still reeling and paying the price).

I hate everything you suggest after offer Chris Paul a max contract. If we do almost any of those things. Especially Jennings and Blatche, Belinelli. I don't think they should tank. But they also should not go sign a bunch of overrated overpriced vets for long term contracts. Their ability to get assets by taking on short term contracts flies right out the window if they do that.
